Hotel Martino

We found this wonderful place on the app and are so happy we did. It was not easy driving there through winding streets at night, but worth the effort. The friendly staff upgraded our room to a wonderful sea view with balcony. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The view was wonderful. There is a beach you can walk to nearby that is beautiful. Relaxing stay. The wifi only works by the lobby or terrace, but thats okay, you can see a nice sunset from the terrace. Breakfast was good. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. If you want to leave the property the port is not far and there are a few restaurants to have a nice seafood lunch or dinner.

Good place to stay. Breakfast fairly basic. Would recommend this hotel.

I will start by saying that this is the nicest hotel I've stayed at for this price. The room is far from luxurious, but in such lovely surroundings why would you spend time in your room? The grounds of this hotel were like a dream. I wish there had been written instructions on how to get down to the beach. The man who checked me in didn't speak much English, but it's my fault for not speaking enough Italian...I am in Italy after all ; ) Breakfast was free and served in the restaurant above the hotel, which was also very beautiful. I only knew this because I asked. Again, my fault for not speaking more Italian. One more thing, like every place I've stayed in Italy, the walls are very thin. So maybe turn on an app like white noise if you're a light sleeper. All in all, a beautiful area and a great value. I would certainly stay here again!

Loved the location. A good stay. Have already recommended it to friends. The whole hotel may be the cleanest we have experienced. Applause to the cleaning staff. Although there is an indoor pool area which also looked inviting we chose to swim in the ocean.

We reserved a room with wiew but what we did not expect was that it has no balcony. They would change it to superior room with balcony only after payment of large amount. That was the only inconvenience. Rooms are small but efficient and clean.

We were here in mid June on a really hot day and they hadn't turned on the air conditioning. The clerk seemed to think it odd that we would ask! One room was quite musty.

Stayed one night as part of a driving holiday and we were very happy with the lovely room and balcony overlooking the sea. Staff were welcoming and the continental breakfast included was sufficient to start the day. Photo opportunities everywhere!! There is also a nice restaurant if you don't feel like leaving the hotel. We liked it so much that we have booked again on the way back to Rome to fly home. Highly recommended!

Lovely sea view room very quiet,only sad thing is the restaurant was closed

Good value and convenient.Room was on the small side and was not air conditioned. Free wi fi but over near reception .The beach is not particularly handy. Staff were helpful but not forthcoming .We ate at the adjacent restaurant which was a plus and breakfast was excellent ..

Hotel Martino is a real gem! Maratea is a place for relaxing, enjoying the sea, eating delicious local cuisine, and it's all available at Hotel Martino. The hotel has its own beach which is a 10-15 minute walk, or short shuttle ride or drive away. The water is clear, and there are comfy beach chairs and umbrellas at guests' disposal. The hotel restaurant is excellent, frequented by locals and guests. The breakfast is plentiful. We found the room to be very comfortable. There are spa services available, but we did not have time to enjoy them. You could tell that there were many regular guests there, and it's definitely not "touristy" at all. I recommend it, and would gladly return.
