Hotel Martino

Loved our stay at this hotel. The location is breathtaking. I felt like I could have spent a week sitting out in the garden area staring at the sea and reading. It was absolutely relaxing and a perfect little getaway spot. It's a bit off the beaten path but this adds to the sense of have a little slice of the Mediterranean coast to yourself.

We didn't know what to expect as we were there in the middle of November and almost everything else was closed for the season but the hotel was a treat. Reasonably priced, easy to find, quiet location, wonderful sea views and helpful staff. Don'r know what it is like in the middle of the high season but we would certainly stay there again.

Great spot to stop along the road for an overnight in a pleasant family run hotel. As far as the neighborhood is concerned, there is none. This is a very rural area with numerous homes nearby but only one restaurant, The White Horse, within a couple of minutes's drive that served an acceptable meal. Very satisfied with the place.

The key things to be aware of are this hotel is on its own far from the town, a walk from a small beech, the pool is indoor which is not amazing in sunny italy, friendly staff, typical italian hotel breakfast spread.

The hotel Martino in Maratea in the Marina area is an absolute gem. Although there was little english spoken at the hotel, the reception people were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and fairly standard, however the view and surrounding area of the hotel is just beautiful. It would be advisable however to have a car if you are going to this hotel as you can not walk to the centre of maratea or the port from the hotel The rates were fantastic, the hotel also has a pool and beautiful sitting areas. In addition there is also a very good pizzeria just next to the hotel. I would definitely reccommend this hotel for great rates staying in maratea surrounded by wonderful seas views.
