Hotel les Canpanules Tignes DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Thieves at work The hotel itself does not even partially resemble a 4 star hotel. Please see attached photos. I had my skis stolen from the locked boot room. Please be aware their CCTV in the boot room DOES NOT WORK - I have asked to be reimbursed, they refused!! On check in to the hotel we were greeted at around 2pm. Our rooms were not ready until 4. Which wasn’t an issue. We asked to leave our baggage securely in a room just off from reception. I asked to put my skis there as they are valuable. We were advised to put these in the hotels boot room (downstairs). I later returned to find them stolen! The boot room is extremely sub standard with a leaking ceiling, as can be seen In the video below. Old cupboards and frankly very tired, similar to most of the hotel! The steps down from the boot room to the street are a hazard in themselves. The snow has not been cleared and they are sheet ice! The pool is cold and woodwork around is rotting and flaking off. It does not resemble the photos at all. The steam room is similar with paint coming away inside. The staff communication has been terrible. I had to email three times before receiving a response and that was only after going to reception on multiple occasions to prompt this. One minute they are saying they were going to sort it, the next it’s not there problem. Following this I eventually got to speak with the manager. Who simply shrugged his shoulders and didn’t show one bit of interest in helping me. I was later informed that the manager who came to speak to me knowingly had COVID! … fantastic! Breakfast is sub standard with the scrambled egg being dry and almost inedible! The carpets are worn and tired! For a hotel charging what they do this is not to be expected! The rooms again are tired! The hotel has since replied saying they are trying to put this through their insurance….. we will see! I frequently visit tignes and frankly my holiday
