The Norwich Inn

The Norwich Inn exceeded our expectations. The room was not only well appointed with a gas fireplace (so nice!), but the beds were so very comfortable and the entire room was exceptionally clean. We treated ourselves to a dinner at their restaurant. It was delicious and the service was exceptional. Every employee we spoke with was so personable and helpful. We loved our stay and if ever in that area again, will most definitely stay there. We highly recommended it to our niece and her husband to stay at when attending a wedding at a later date and they have made reservations to do so.

This was central to multiple places we wanted to visit and on the way to our final destination. Happy we chose it, really enjoyed our stay, the people we met, and Norwich. Traffic wasn’t as bad as we expected, and we arrived a little earlier than check-in. Fortunately, our room was available and we were able to check in. Really appreciated it after a long drive. The Inn is really nice and you should explore it. We were in the side building, not the main Inn (we chose it), had a fireplace (wound up not using as was beautiful weather), second floor room, and very comfortable room. Bed was comfortable, mattress was great. We didn’t need it, but there is a small mini-fridge in room. Able to set the temperature, but we liked the setting they had for the room. We paid for dinner and breakfast, enjoyed both. Because it was Saturday morning, there was a larger breakfast menu. Plenty of options and fresh fruit. We were full after breakfast and dinner. A wonderful couple sat next to us at dinner; the wife makes 200 cookies every day and gives them to Norwich employees. She also gave us some to try and they were delicious! Really nice couple to talk to and glad we met them. All of the staff at Norwich Inn are friendly and professional. Great place to stay if you are in the area. Take a walk around; there are a lot of historic buildings in walking distance and a large farmer’s market a short drive from there. Make sure you check out the general store next door, anything you may need is definitely there! If eating there, try the beer flight (see pics)!

It had old world charm and the location was very central. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly

We visited during hot weather and the old window air conditioning unit sounded like a truck. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t even get dressed in it. Thin walls and squeaky floors.

My best friend's son's wedding was hosted at Jasper Murdock's Alehouse on location at the Inn. Great fun, amazing service. The Inn's rooms are a bit pricey but very high quality and impeccable service.
