Musciara Siracusa Resort

Beautiful property and location, probably the best in the Siricusa area. Great beach, rooms were amazing, and good food at the restaurant. Service was hit & miss, some staff were very nice and kind, some were extremely rude. We asked for 2 activities to be booked (a city tour and a beach club), and both were dropped and never done.

Musciara is a stunningly beautiful resort which has a private beach located in the heart of Siracuse. The resort has a sumptuous breakfsst buffet which you can enjoy sitting overlooking the Mediterranean. The staff are extremely attentive to your every need. They will recommend wonderful restaurants, arrange for your laundry or book you a massage on the beach. This is a 5 star resort in every way. Book here you will thoroughly enjoy your experience.

Parking on weekends in the evening can be challenging. The resort's parking is part of a large public lot. On weekends beach goers and people going to restaurants and bars nearby fill the lot . We managed to find a spot eventually.

The private beach was an excellent place to unwind after a day out. Room and whole property were very luxurious. Breakfast had many choices, overlooking the beautiful ocean and Ortigia. Free car parking next to the property was also a big bonus.

It is quite a walk onto the island, but having the private beach makes up for the location.

The hotel and the suits are absolutely amazing but the service is pretty bad. We asked two times if they can arrange programs they said of course yes, but they didn’t arrange it. Also most of the stuff doesn’t speak English so we had difficulties to communicate. The food is excellent but it’s super overpriced, salads are 20-30EUR and all appetizers and main courses are 30EUR. So overal location and the hotel and the food is amazing but only come if you don’t need anything from the staff.

Position

Very clean, lovely hotel with a wide variety of room choices. The dining area is on the water - very nice place to eat a meal. The beach is fantastic! It's an easy walk into old town Ortigia. Convenient parking lot next door.

The facilities at the hotel are brilliant! Lovely beach area with access to the sea. The staff are friendly. It's a 20 minute walk into Ortega along nice streets.

Amazing hotel with the greatest location. The family owning the hotel will do everything they can to accommodate your needs and wishes. We can only give the warmest recommendations.

Location and views - a walk to Ortigia of about 20 mins. Good breakfast. Joditta is friendly at breakfast. Beach area had potential but broken glass in sea - beach staff keep sand clean. Nice sitting areas if weather is warm. Excellent views from the terrace. Very clean. Nice kitchen area and decor. Some parking either in courtyard or on street or adjacent carpark.

Bedroom of apartment felt damp and a bit musty. Might have been better in summer with Aircon on. Bedroom on ground floor so presumably cooler. Hard bed. Lots of metal stairs over 3 floors. Would not be good for anyone with small children or mobility issues. Hugh bunch of keys to access various areas. Can't say we felt welcome - wondered if it had changed hands since older reviews. Staff seemed confused. Not customer focused with no info on area or what's on.
