The Close Hotel

A beautiful location, historic building. We loved the terrace and garden, due to the heatwave we enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast there. We had a Classic Double room, comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The staff were efficient and friendly, in particular Olivia who was so helpful and entertaining. We'll definately stay again.

Dopo un primo soggiorno memorabile, tornare al Close Hotel è stato un vero piacere. L'atmosfera è quella che ricordavamo: raffinata, accogliente e ricca di charme. La posizione è perfetta per esplorare il delizioso borgo di Tetbury e il sud delle Cotswolds, mentre gli ambienti conservano tutto il carattere e l'eleganza di una storica dimora inglese. La colazione, ottima e varia come sempre, è servita in modo impeccabile. È stata una splendida conferma e non avremo alcuna esitazione a scegliere ancora il Close Hotel per un futuro viaggio nelle Cotswolds.

The Garden was the jewel in the crown very well maintained the room was emasculate as was the whole hotel. the breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choice. the staff were attentive and very welcoming

Tutto la location, la stanza, il ristorante,la colazione e il giardino ,il personale è estremamente professionale, gentile e molto amichevole. Ci torneremo. Li ci abbiamo lasciato il cuore.

Lovely old building with quirky rooms and lovely tranquil garden

Good Breakfast. Room was large. Bathroom was enormous, with a large bath and two, yes two, shower heads across the back wall for a his and hers experience at the same time. Dinner was fine if you like meat. If not, there were a couple of things for veggies. The bed was large and comfy. The staff were lovely. The garden was pretty and very peaceful. I don't think I have ever had a room cleaned and tidied up so thoroughly.

The room did not have air conditioning, but that is hardly surprising for such an old building. BUT, it had one of the best fans I have ever listened to in the room. Very efficient and very quiet. Service in the garden was a bit haphazard but we got there in the end. The parking was a little difficult with not that many spaces in a small courtyard. There were a few more spaces near the public library, at the back of the hotel, and a few restricted parking spaces right outside the library on the road.
