The hotel is well situated in the medina with great views of the ocean. It's a very close to restaurants and shopping and also really nice ambience.

Being an older hotel, the ceilings were a bit on the shorter side in the bedroom but we had been informed upfront so this was not a surprise.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating to some of our special needs relating to one of our party's wheelchair. We had to leave early the final morning, just as breakfast was starting, and I asked if I could just have a cup of coffee, but the staff brought us a full breakfast even though it was before the advertised hours. The room was very small BUT it has its own private rooftop (actually two). The location is phenomenal - right on the walls overlooking the ocean. One of the best mornings we had was walking outside the city walls along the Atlantic Ocean.

The beds were much too hard and the pillows insufficient. I like a hard bed usually, but these were like sleeping on a billiard table. I actually got up two hours before I usually do each morning because my hips and neck were in pain from the mattress. The upside is that I got to do yoga on the rooftop overlooking the sea every morning while the sun was rising. There is a gate/door right next to the property that lets out onto a staircase that goes down to the ocean, BUT this gate was inexplicably locked. When we asked, we were told that the property next door had locked it. however, this gate was from a public street. It meant that in order to get to the ocean, you had to go a couple of kilometres in one or other direction while there was a gate merely twenty paces from the property. I hope this can be looked into because the ocean walk is truly spectacular.

En comparación a otros alojamientos en los que he estado en Marruecos, es el más frío en cuanto a trato.

Günstige Lage am Rand der Medina von Essaouira

Zimmer und Bad sehr klein und dunkel, wenig komfortabel. Trotz Randlage sehr laut, im Haus sehr hellhörig, daher viel Lärm. Frühstück mäßig. Für das Gebotene eindeutig zu teuer.

We had a nice room with a view directly over the sea. It was three flights up but that was our choice. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were excellent.

It was all good.
