Villa Santa Maria - Luxury Country House

Everything except the steps down and up lol. It is truly a 4 star property with killer views and great rooms.

No elevator

Beautiful, great for honeymoon, couples. Not suitable for older people because it has a lot of stair, it’s on the a cliff but the property entrance in down the hill ( you’re still on the highest point of the cliff), I counted about 151 stairs. It’s Beautiful and a real gem. One of the most beautiful view you could ever have on the Amalfi Coast.

Como tudo na costa Amalfitana, tem-se que ter uma certa energia para subir e descer os degraus de acesso ao hotel. Mas, no final, tudo se compensa pela vista e pelo hotel em si.

Utsikten var fantastisk! Vi bodde i junior sviten som låg för sig själv så det kändes som att vi hade vårt eget lilla paradis. Skulle vara perfekt för smekmånad! Vi kunde ta trapporna ned till hotellets egen badplats och därifrån bli hämtad med båt till en bra lunchrestaurang på en strand i närheten. Riklig och god frukost serverad med den fantastiska utsikten. Salvatore var så välkomnande och serviceminded! Inget var ett problem och vi fick checka in tidigare, vilket gav oss mer tid på plats. Salvatore är verkligen rätt man på rätt plats. Han fick oss att känna oss så välkomna.

The property had a great view of the sea. The night manager was super friendly and made us feel welcome.

We booked a Triple room for our family. This room was supposed to have a King-sized bed and a twin. When we arrived, we were told that there was only two guests on the reservation, and since we had our daughter, we would need a second room. I asked if we would be charged for the second room and was told no. We were given a second key and shown to our room. Both rooms had a queen-sized bed. The next morning the daytime manager walked up to our table while we were eating breakfast and knelt down next to us and aggressively told us that we put him in a bad position and owed him an extra 100 euros for having an additional guest and we could pay at our leisure, we were asked to return the key to the second room, and he had a twin sized bed set up in the room. We left for the day to visit the surrounding towns. When we got back it was clear that our room had been entered. The lights were left on, the bathroom door had been shut, and the window we left open was shut. The next morning at breakfast he approached us again, and I told him that I would not be paying the extra 100 euros as we had paid for a triple room and only received a room with a queen-sized bed. He then got aggressive and told me that we had used the second room that we were forced to take and therefor had to pay him. He took out his phone and acted as if he was going to call the authorities and said "ok if you want to be a tough guy". I put 100 euros on the table and left. He chased me out, and he got in my girlfriends face in front of my daughter and started giving her a hard time about the second room being used. He said "I won't tell you what I think you guys did in the room in front of your child". The daytime manager was extremely hostile and ruined our stay. The property is also 2 miles from the nearest town, and taxis are extremely difficult to get with how busy the area is, There are also about 100 stairs down from the road to the property.

I loved the views of the ocean and how quiet it is. Since they only have a handful of rooms, the staff are able to really accommodate guests. Sal who ran the front desk is a very passionate welcoming person that really made our trip memorable! I could go on and on about how many things I liked about this place.

The only thing that was tough was the stairs to and from the property- 156 exactly. My older mom had a difficult time getting up and down, but if you take breaks it’s fine.
