Villa Santa Maria - Luxury Country House

Salvatore and Gerardo were exceptionally good hosts. The accommodation really nice, clean, good views and personal service. The stairs keep you in shape but Gerardo insists helping with the bags, so thats no problem. Breakfast was excellent and the setting beautiful. We arrived by car and that is not the best in Amalfi because the streets are very narrow and parking spaces are not easily found. Next time we will arrive by boat taxi. :)

Property is quiet and beautiful!

A bit out of the main town if you’re looking to be going to restaurants and shops a lot! Be ready to take the bus or walk a bit!

Salvatore is an incredible host!!! Before we had even checked in Salvatore had messaged us to let us know our room was available for early check in so that we could make use of the private beach area all day. At lunch time, Salvatore had mentioned we could message him to request a boat to collect us and take us to a nearby restaurant which was fantastic! The private beach area was amazing- we spent a whole day snorkelling and the hotel provided beach towels daily which was great The staff were all really nice and the views from the hotel were incredible. Breakfast was fantastic

(Just to info - It is a 30 minute walk to the town - we didn’t mind this and enjoyed the walk down during the day. The only issue is at night time, the buses are often overpacked and don’t stop. Taxis are only 7/10 mins however they are very expensive so bear this in mind - sometimes it is best to walk so wear comfy shoes)

The view is amazing, next to the villa of Sofia Loren. Salvatore and all staff were amazing. Salvatore actually gave us all the information needed to make our visit to the south of Italy and unforgettable experience. Parking is difficult in all Amalfi, you need to find a space on the street. A few stairs to the property but the view is rewarding. Definitely recommended and we will be back next year.

Everything was excellent

Stunning views of the Amalfi coast and an incredibly warm welcome from Salvatore and his colleagues. The hotel isn't a luxury one but it simply doesn't matter; nothing is too much trouble for Salvatore to organise and you will feel delightfully 'seen'. Highly recommend staying there

None of the following are criticisms - just worth knowing. You NEED to be able to deal with stairs, of which there are literally hundred (to and fro the road and even more down to the beach). Also you will need to either drive to town or get taxis and the latter are expensive. It's still worth it to experience the hotel

We loved our stay! Salvatore, Angelo and the entire staff were fabulous. The breakfast was excellent and they had accommodations for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). The view is worth every penny! We loved the private water access and hot tub. The walk to Amalfi is beautiful and there are amazing restaurants just nearby as well. We definitely recommend!

Salvatore and his staff welcomed us immediately and treated us like family, or better. The property is beautiful, the swimming at the ocean was awesome, the breakfasts were fantastico. We had a very lovely experience, thanks to the special attention of Salvatore, Angelo and all the staff of Villa Santa Maria. The location of the hotel is exceptional and being able to walk to the ocean and swim is very special. Loved all the steps on the property. It would have been nice to use the sauna but it was out of order. Otherwise everything was perfect and I would definitely come back and recommend.

Solvatore was the best of hosts (and papa), very good service and an amazing beach down by the sea.
