Faja dos Padres

This is a wonderful place composed of small houses in a farm facing the ocean. We rented two houses for 11 nights, each house with two beds, for a third person in a house one has to pay some extras. The location is very quite and pleasant outside the operating hours of the cable car when the tourists are not present. Our houses had nets, so the insect intrusion was minimal (I do not know about the other houses without nets). The cleaning ladies and cable car operators were very helpful and friendly. The Nepalese staff at the restaurant were nice too.

The breakfast was good, with fresh fruits (mango, banana or figs), natural (mango or orange, but not freshly prepared) juices and eggs (scrambled, (over)fried or hard boiled, depending on the day), but the variability could be better (oat flakes, nuts, honey, more kinds of jam?). The sea is essentially accessible from a concrete pier only, which is surrounded by boats during the day.

Тут почалося моє дослідження Мадейри. Що ви отримуєте за ці гроші: будиночок зі спальнею, вітальнею та кухнею. Терасу з лежаками та краєвидом на океан. Ідеально чистий пляж - суцільне задоволення. Парасольками та шезлонгами можна користуватися без оплати. Фантастичну канатну дорогу в користування. Великий фруктовий сад, де я організувала собі ранкові пробіжки з зануренням в океан. Зверніть увагу на порядок проживання. Каната дорога закривається о 19:00. Потім додатково відкривається о 21:00. Якщо ви прилітаєте пізніше- можуть виникнути питання з поселенням, так як іншого шляху до помешкання немає. Рекомендую взяти все що вам треба одразу з собою, щоб потім не відволікатися від відпочинку. Ми прилетіли десь о 18:00, поспішали і не взяли з собою їжу, тож другий день витратили на поїздку в Фуншал.

Сніданок був теж включений в вартість, але він не особо різноманітний. Welkome dinner не вартує 20€, було не смачно. В якості компенсації потім назбирала собі інжиру в саду та поїла безкоштовно 😂

Enestående beliggenhed. Man er sig selv i sit hus og bori et økologisk landbrug med egen restaurant og lift.

Lovely sea view from accomodation. Accomodation offer a private terrace with sun beds and we spend most of our time relaxing there

Comminucation from staff at accomodation vs what the restuarant offer is not the same. They do not bring food to your accomodation, you have to fetch it and you have to order BBQ packs etc at least 24hrs in advance. There r no shop to buy fresh bread or some basics from - come prepared. Breakfast had lovely warm bread/buns but not a good selection of fruit - there was only oranges to enjoy with breakfast. Restuarant closes at 5pm.

Amazing place, one of the best accomodations I've ever been. It's charming and lovely. Staff is very welcome. Breakfast was classic but they serve fresh mango juice, that was fantastic. The views all around are awesome, worth spending more than two nights. You access the hotel via cable car, its so unusual. Don't think, book!

Might be not very much convenient that you need to be back before 10pm as cable car stops operation, but for us it was not a problem. The rest was amazing

I miss the basics products for the kitchen, like some salt and pepper, or olive oil.
