The location for canal street was fantastic, the staff were very helpful and gave recommendations on good places to visit or eat. The glass of Prosecco on arrival a wonderful touch to start the trip, it poured with rain which the staff noticed and lent us an umbrella. Small touches all made for a great stay x

The in room snacks and mini bar were a little pricey.

Just awful, I didn’t sleep. I booked a room because the corporate event I was speaking at had a discount with Velvet. Some rooms mentioned that you might hear noise from the downstairs bar so I booked a more expensive room. There was loud music until 3am, with bass that I could feel reverberating. This was a Tuesday night and I had a work event the next day. Why offer a discount for business travellers if you’re a party hotel? The front desk were really rude in the morning and kept me waiting for 40 minutes, then offered me a 20% refund. They said it was my fault and I should have asked to change rooms in the middle of the night. Room was fine in general but dirty, needed a hoover and the windows cleaned. Small marks on the sheets. Avoid like the plague, I’d rather stay in a hostel.

Good location and friendly check in.

We stayed for 2 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. The bed was half arsed made and towels were changed but nothing else. Soundproofing between rooms was pretty non existent.
