Hôtel Restaurant de la Poste et du Lion d'Or

Hôtel très bien situé, au pied de la montée vers la basilique Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Vezelay. Notre chambre était bien grande, d'un style ancien que nous aimons bien tout en ayant tout le confort nécessaire. Les petits-déjeuners sont complets et très bons. Hôtel à recommander

Le plus de l'hôtel est sa proximité de la basilique de Vézelay, ainsi que son confort. Du côté du moins, le petit-déjeuner, pas de pain frais bien croustillant comme on sait le faire en France, il faut réclamer pour avoir du sucre en poudre, du chocolat chaud à peine tiédasse... dommage...

Séjour d’une nuit en famille très agréable. On aurait bien aimé y rester quelques jours. Hôtel de charme, chambres confortables et terrasse sympathique. Petit déjeuner avec un choix raisonnable mais suffisant aussi bien en sucré qu’en salé ,avec de très bon produits. Mention spéciale à l’équipe au petit soin. Merveilleuse étape.

Fabulous hotel with a couple of caveats.... Beautiful public spaces and lovely rooms. First experience when attempting to check in a couple of hours early or at least drop our luggage was met with a dismissive attitude by male front desk clerk whose name we did not get. Take this hotel at its word that check in is at 4pm and not a moment earlier.... Also there are only 4 parking spaces at the hotel which you need to reserve in advance. When we did check in around 5pm, we were warmly greeted by Laurente, who was friendly and very helpful with things to do near Vezelay for our next day. We ate at L'Eternal in the the hotel that evening and it was fantastic! The service and food were truly delightful! Also the service at the bar was fantastic. This is truly a very very lovely hotel and we would highly recommend it!

Extremely helpful front desk. We arrived just in time to check in. So we saw our room immediately. Nicely modern, up to date bathroom and a very comfortable bed. This room, 104, has a private terrace. Great for your morning coffee. It is difficult to get reservations in the restaurant . You need to call well ahead. We ate elsewhere and there plenty of good choices. Breakfast has plenty of choices.

Nice location and beautiful surroundings. The restaurant is really good - delicious food and super service. The breakfast is a disappointment.
