Perfect location for visiting Vezelay and cathedral

Stayed only one night, as a hotel closer to where my wife was hospitalized was full. Hotel de la Poste is in a nice location and the amenities are quite good as well. Only negative comment would be the less-than-charming attitude of the front desk staff (not all of them - just the daytime staff). He really acted like he didn't want to be there to assist anyone. Perhaps he should seek other employment opportunities.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room was a reasonable size and the fixtures and fittings were of excellent quality. The shower room was great and location excellent. Breakfast was really good and plentiful After such a review why 4 stars. We booked with a dog and was told we couldn't use the restaurant which I accept but didn't like but was then told we had to eat outside for breakfast as the dog couldn't be inside. They charge for a dog and could easily provide a small room for dog owners. It is a country hotel and so rare in France not to wholeheartedly accept dogs. We just got away with the weather for breakfast as it had rained in the night but all a bit of a fuss when it shouldn't be. I definitely recommend staying here if you do not have a dog.

I keep coming back to this hotel, not so much because of the hotel, but because of the restaurant. And because I want to buy wine from the local vineyard, but that's besides the point. After two stays in 2017 and 2019 in room 15, we were located in the "dependence", an annex with four or five rooms. To be honest : it was okay. But I would expect more from a 4-star hotel. Usually, there is a folder with information about the hotel and the town. It might be Covid-related, of course, but no such thing. The Wifi in the annex was weak. The room's decoration was decidedly Spartan. On the up side : the room was quiet, and scrupulously clean. The restaurant, as usual, was sublime.

Fint ældre hotel, med meget venligt personale. Vi boede i et anneks, hvilket jeg var lidt skuffet over, men værelset var stort og fint og fungerede godt. Meget fint badeværelse. Parkering var meget udfordrende. Hotellet har 4 pladser, der kan reserveres, alt anden parkering er i området uden for hotellet. Der var en del mennesker der besøgte byen de dage vi var der, derfor måtte vi lede længe og gå langt hver gang vi skulle parkere. Vi spiste i restauranten 2 dage og den sidste dag i restauranten over for. Personalet var virkelig opmærksomme og service minded. Der er 2 faste menuer i den dyre ende, ingen a la carte. Vi sluttede af med en fantastisk middag på Cheval Blanc på den anden sidste af gade. Morgenmad var rigtig god. Hotellet ligge meget centralt, perfekt for at besøg i byen.

Séjour très agréable et reposant

Accueil était pas bon. Quand je demandait si c'était possible de diner la réponse était: "Complet. Vous pouvez essayer chez nos voisins restaurants". Le séjour pour la reste était bon. Bonne chambre, comfortable.

Un bel établissement avec un accueil simple et chaleureux. Le calme et une bien belle vue de notre chambre
