Baolilai International Hotel Shenzhen

I have stayed in this hotel many times before because I like it very much....but I noticed the big difference in service level & room amenities this time, it is so sad to see the level went down.... This hotel does not have guest history.... not good!

Excellent hotel for not only business travelers but vacationers as well. I travel a lot all over China and many hotels claim to be 5 star hotels but are not. For the cost from Hotels.com this is an excellent choice. No worries about clean well appointed rooms. For travel in the Shenzhen area near the airport I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Bao Lai Li is always great, staff is friendly and knowledgeable I love the bar/lounge. music and atmosphere are nice best wine choice in the area

this hotel is old. it's rated 5 stars but is more like a 3 star. breakfast food is good. room is a bit stuffy, carpet is filthy, and bed is not comfortable at all. staff is more attentive than other china hotels but, this one is not what it appears to be in the pictures or the high rate reviews.

bed are horrible. caved in and too soft. they put hard layer on top but its as bad or worse.

Best location for visiting suppliers if you need a central point for the whole Shenzhen area. Stay away from the way overpriced top-floor restaurant. Japanese is good. Awesome Cheeseburger for room service. Breakfast is adequate.

It is a nice hotel, conveniently located next to Fuyong Bus Station. Staff is courteous and helpful.

Very pleasantly surprised by the baolilai. Clean and well equipped rooms. Good restaurants, particularly the Japanese restaurant. There is a restaurant to cater for all tastes here. Surprisingly good facilities. Swimming pool, tennis court (on the 5th floor)!, golf practice nets, gym, table tennis and pool. A very reasonably priced spa is also available. Above all the service was very good, the staff very friendly and we were constantly asked if we needed anything and whether everything was to our satisfaction. This is a great base if you have business in the area.

Pleasant staff, clean rooms and good restaurants plus a spa facility. If you are arriving at the airport, either use the hotel shuttle bus or take a red or green official taxi and insist they use their meter !! ......... DO NOT accept any of the many unofficial people offering a taxi service in any part of the airport building ......I had a bad experience first time at Shenzhen airport and was ripped off 400 rmb for a 60 rmb metred official taxi ride......NOT a pleasant experience .........we live and learn...........make sure you have the hotel and address written in Chinese to hand to the taxi driver....you can ask at the official "Information" airport desk for then to write this information down for you. All this said I enjoyed my experience at The Baolilai Int Hotel in Shenzhen it is safe and secure with a good atmosphere and facilities.

This is a real 5 start hotel if you don't mind staying in the middle of nowhere. I personally wanted to stay next to the airport but after arriving to Shenzhen airport I found out that the hotel is 15 km (about 9 miles) from the airport which is about 25 minutes drive in a taxi. There are plenty of 5 stars hotels in Shenzhen city center which also takes around 30 minutes from the airport and in a much better area to stay at. When I asked the hotel stuff how come this hotel is listed as an airport hotel, I first got ignored. After pressing them a few times they told me that it's next to the old Shenzhen airport which was recently moved to a new location. My follow up questions was how long ago they moved the airport and they answered around 3 years ago with a knotty smile that you get when you call someone bluff. I also made a complain to the manager but I got the same response making it very obvious that they are taking advantage of this false information. If you want good 5 stars hotel, don't waste your time on this place and stay around Futian district. Also note that many taxi drivers do not want to go there because they can't pickup anyone in the way back as a result of the secluded location.
