Vega Hotel

Everything was really nice, no hidden charges, everything you need is there, if the menu becomes boring you will find a really nice pub just minutes away (The Barrels) . Even tho we went there late September and the season was ended, the experience was good and realistically we have nothing to complain about

This is not a five star hotel, service is lacking, the food is sub par. This is the only 5 star hotel in Mamaia that is why we chose it, its closer to a 3 star.

One of the nicest places in the area

Location: The hotel has a good location, in the middle of the strip. Room: Pros: - quiet - spacious Cons: - the curtains are smaller than the window, so no matter what you do, sunlight will always find its way in. - the shower is slippery - the bed is a bit hard - the closets are so small you can barely hang your clothes in them or use the shelves Staff: - i wouldn't call them friendly, but they are ok. Maybe the language barrier was the issue. Security: - Excellent Beach: - quiet beach, organized. But they have a full process for picking up the towels and returning them. They make it sound like the towel is worth your life. Food: - didn't try it, but my friend's did try the breakfast, they were satisfied with it. Be aware though, the hotel has zero flexibility when it comes to early check outs or refunding your cancellations. Since they only operate a few months per year during the summer season, they are hungry for cash and are willing to charge you for many things (i.e. cancellation, lost towels, early check outs...etc). I personally found other hotels in the same area that seemed more appropriate to my taste. So i won't stay in this hotel next time.
