Comfy bed

A strange smell about the whole place, including linen and towels. Very much like a deep fat frier. I wondered if these are used a lot in the pub kitchen downstairs

I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the front desk. He asked for my room preference, and made sure I knew how to get to my room and how to find where to get breakfast. He let me know when the pub would start serving food after 6pm. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty, very quick service. The lady that looked after me was lovely, very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was very nice, I found it charming any cosy. Breakfast was also very good, well worth it, I definitely recommend it. Will be back for sure!

I can understand why other's say the hotel and rooms are a bit dated, not sure if they want something built in the last 5 years? The bathroom could do with some updates sure, but all in all no other negatives.
