"The food was excellent and the staff were also excellent."

The dining room and bar and breakfast room were excellent.

The bedroom was very very tired, needed a new carpet. The light fixtures were very wobbly and the bathroom basin had a large crack in it. The windows needed a good clean and very rusty.

"Give it a miss."

The location and the (one) member of staff, Sudeep seemed to be doing everything with a smile and good grace, despite being very busy.

Bed was uncomfortable, bathroom wasn't clean, room was shabby with broken window handles and peeling paint. Very noisy at night.

"Great for King Alfred’s Way cycle!"

We were on a cycle trip and the staff kindly let us store our (clean) bikes on the room.

Location and that we could eat there as we were on a cycle trip.

"better than expected , perfect for us cyclists!"

I was surprised by the comfy bed with clean crisp linen, the rooms are v simple, but we had nice room at the back onto the woods and the bathroom was clean and well managed. The staff were v nice and friendly, helpful. Also the bar/restaurant next door was great for what we wanted.

"Disappointing"

Good location and parking

Room was very basic and needed a lot of TLC. Bathroom particularly very run down. Lots of dust around corners of the room. Breakfast was very dry/burnt. Overall disappointing and would stay here again. Hotel could really do with a spruce up!
