Great place to stay. Lovely views and great walks. Rooms are good and new team are welcoming.

Lovely hotel right on the banks of the river and in a lovely location. Rooms are a bit dated but manager said they are closing down soon for a refurbishment. Food in the pub is good (not a lot else about) and the rooms are away from the pub.

Very good hotel in an amazing area. Just to be clear, this is not a cheap hotel - we paid about £100 per night for a double room (inclusive of breakfast). The room was large and clean, the service was excellent, the food at reg restaurant was very good, the staff were friendly, but perhaps not worth £100 per night. However, what makes it worth it is the location: our room was on the ground floor of the annexe to the hotel, and our front door and main window were 10yrds for the estuary. The view was absolutely fantastic! Difficult to explain, but I have a few pictures that will probably do it justice. My only criticism is that the Wifi was very weak, it would only work very near the hotel reception and not in our rooms. In this day and age, having a few wifi repeaters is not beyond a hotel's means! However, all's forgiven when I think of the views. We would certainly go again.

Fantastic location with beautiful views over the estuary, great beer, food and staff.

Lovely old building but the room I was in was tired and needed refurbishing especially the bathroom.
