Grand Hotel Toplice

This hotel is just FABULOUS...its youre in Bled then it's the only place to stay. Quiet, understated service but attention to detail in everything. We loved our stay at the Toplice. It's fully deserving of its status as a best hotel....fizz for breakfast and the most amazing breakfast buffet, elegant rooms (out overlooked the lake), bathing area and deck. Worth every single penny

The most beautiful location for a hotel! Our balcony had stunning views of Lake Bled - I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere with such a gorgeous view. The hotel itself was a little dated but the service was great and there was car parking too. Breakfast options were brilliant and the sun loungers next to the lake weee perfect for a midday dip!

Although the hotel has a 5 star rating, there were a few points that failed to achieve this rating (1) Some paint peeling off patio doors in room, (2) Staff poring red wine without asking to be tasted, (3) pudding provided too soon after main course completed on one night.

We had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled. The hotel is exceptionally clean, with both the rooms and common areas maintained to a very high standard. The staff were excellent throughout our visit – always welcoming, helpful, and professional. Their warmth and attentiveness really enhanced our experience. The location could not be better. Set directly on the shores of Lake Bled, the hotel offers truly stunning views of the lake, the island, and Bled Castle. It is the perfect base for exploring the area while also enjoying peaceful lakeside moments. The food was another highlight. Breakfast provided a wide range of delicious options, and dinner was beautifully prepared and presented. The variety and quality were consistently impressive, and dining with a view of the lake made it even more memorable. Overall, the Grand Hotel Toplice combines an unbeatable location with cleanliness, excellent service, and outstanding food. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Bled.

From the moment we arrived at the Grand Hotel Toplice in Lake Bled, we were completely enchanted. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a welcome cocktail in the sitting room lobby — and let me tell you, sipping that drink while taking in the most breathtaking view I’ve ever seen felt like a dream. The service here is in a league of its own — truly the highest caliber I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal, warm, and effortless. Our room was absolutely perfect, and I have to give special mention to the water pressure (a small but very important detail for me!) — it was spot on. The location couldn’t be better — just steps from charming shops, delicious restaurants, and local events. But the crown jewel of our stay? The hotel’s private beach. With bar service, attentive personal butlers, and the best possible access to swim in Lake Bled, it was pure bliss. I have never recommended a hotel more highly in my life. Out of all of our global travels and experiences with Small Luxury Hotels, this one stands at the very top of my list. We will absolutely be returning — the Grand Hotel Toplice has officially become my favorite stay in the world.

Misleading ! These people want to call a room with 1 single bed a SUITE ! At least false and misleading. After several discussions the owner agreed to be ok with cancelation but finally i needed to pay 52€ !!! After several contact and a kind demand for reconsiderztion, they refused to answer ! No touch of class. I would never recommend to stau at dishonest and lying owners. Shame on you !!!!

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We honeymooned here 36 years ago and been back many times since. The staff in the Hotel were lovely and with a refurb programme in 2026 the place can only get better. It was lovely to see lots of families with older kids at Bled. Loads to do. Swimming in the Lake though was my missus’ highlight from the Hotel decking area as well as our first go at paddleboarding

Best view

We have just returned home after spending a week at the Grand Hotel Toplice in Lake Bled, Slovenia, and I must say, it was a fabulous holiday from start to finish. We were pleasantly upgraded to a room with a partial view of the lake, which was a fantastic surprise. All staff were exceptional throughout our stay, very polite, friendly but extremely professional especially the waiting staff. I would like to give special mention to Anja from the concierge team; she was not only professional but also incredibly thoughtful. Her attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our stay was perfect as she explained things fully, going above and beyond. As a vegan, I initially had concerns about dining options, but the chefs and waiting staff were incredibly accommodating. Each evening, we enjoyed a specially prepared four-course dinner alongside a breathtaking view of Bled Castle. The breakfast was really lovely with lots of choice and even a glass of fizz on entering the dinning room each morning. Despite some reviews suggesting the hotel was shabby, I found the old grand style charming and fitting for its character. The pianist in the Grand room was a nice touch as was the welcome drink after our long journey to the hotel. The hotel was immaculately clean with everything in its place. On our early departure, staff even ordered breakfast for us without having asked, showcasing their exceptional service. The location was incredible, and Lake Bled is a must-visit. We booked through Tui, and I highly recommend them, especially our attentive rep, ‘Nebs’, who made our experience even more enjoyable through his knowledge and assistance with excursions and locality. Slovenia was a lovely place to visit - we felt as if we were in a postcard as it’s so picturesque.

Location of the Hotel is amazing. Over looking the lake. However, the hotel needs updating definitely not five star more like 3 to 4 room cleanliness not very good. Fruit left rotting not cleaned thoroughly each day bins not emptied . Hotel facilities very poor
