Williamstown Motel

Before we booked our room we read the customer reviews which encouraged us to stay there since the reviews were all positive. When we entered the lobby, Rocky greeted us, checked us in, gave us a map of the area and outlined restaurants and places of interest. He told us he had turned on the air conditioning in the room to cool it down from the 90 degree heat outside. Then we meet his beautiful wife, Naj and their son. Everyone was warm and friendly which made us feel that we made a good choice to stay for the night. When we entered our cool room, there was a light on which was convenient since it was getting dark outside. The room was attractively decorated. The rug, drapes and bedspreads were clean and looked new. We had a very comfortable nights sleep. Before we checked out we ate the complimentary breakfast offered to all patrons. Cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee, tea were some of the foods offered. I toasted my bagel in a really unique toaster. Everyone was engaged in light conversation with Rocky in the breakfast area. He wanted to make sure everyone had a comfortable nights rest in their room and invited those checking out to please stay at the motel next time they are in the area. Which we would do. Both Rocky and Naj display pride of ownership with their motel and those who choose to patronize their business.

Very hiker friendly and accommodating. Rocky put me in touch with a reliable shuttle driver who picked me up in Hartford CT at the airport. Breakfast was more than adequate and enjoyable, rooms were clean and the atmosphere was laid back. I was allowed to have a yard sale and spray down my gear with permethrin. They handled multiple packages very well, too! Great place.

This motel has the best thing going for it : a kind and welcoming owner and family. The room was clean, and perfect for my needs.

On a busy road. Shabby and dated with mold on the bathroom window curtain. Terrible coffee. Just not a three star motel and worth the money.

The best aspect of this place is Rocky, the owner, who warmly welcomed me, offered eatery recommendations (and a small discount at a couple of places with your key fob!), and how I can best drive to Greylock Summit ( which I did on a mid-morning). The room itself is small yet perfect for me as I was on my own. The place is far from fancy but seemed well-maintained and clean, and they had nice thick towels (a nice surprise). Yes, the dresser could be replaced but who really puts their clothes in one anyway 😉. The AC worked and seemed like a newer unit. It’s only 1.3 miles from the Williamstown Theatre Festival so one could theoretically walk there. I like the fact that it was on the other side of Williamstown on Main Street, as it felt more open. There’s a mini strip mall within walking distance (500 feet, in fact) with a Mexican restaurant and Korean/Japanese restaurant. In the other direction, there’s a diner and a Greek/pizza place that would warrant a car drive. Overall, this has been a nice, affordable place for me, as I attended the theatre festival.

I had a great experience. Rocky was very helpful! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and cozy. Great location for Williams College, and the breakfast was a nice touch!
