Very friendly hosts, lovely room with everything you could need, excellent breakfast. Good outside seating area and bar available. We had a great stay and would certainly stay again

Kevin’s care and attention was absolutely superb. On arrival he without hesitation carried our heavy suitcase up two flights to our room. Likewise, once back home he responded immediately to my wife’s concern re leaving a pair of shoes behind. Our room, The Observatory is aptly named. Waking up in the big comfy bed to brilliant skyscapes flooding the room was fantastic. The hotel provides the perfect base for our exploration of the South of Devon. Great place, great staff.

Very nice place and spotless. The breakfast was probably the best ive had. Very well organised due to covid, they have gone to extreme lenghts to ensure that all of their customers remain safe. Couldnt ask for more, will definately be returning some day. Thanks Kev and the team.

Hotel was very clean and bed super comfortable. Enjoyed a tasty breakfast. Hotel is a down hill 15 min walk to the main shops and harbour area.

We have just returned from a ten night stay at The Albaston and highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going to Torquay. The hosts, Kevin and Julie were outstanding in every way and made us extremely welcome. We had a large and beautifully decorated room with super king-sized bed. It had immaculate white bedding and the ensuite had lovely thick white towels. Kevin and Julie won "4 in a Bed" and it is not hard to see why. The standard of hygiene and cleanliness were excellent. Their breakfasts were wonderful and cooked to order - all fresh and no re-heats. They had the most amazing homemade raspberry jam and marmalade. Kevin very quickly got to know , and remember our preferences at breakfast time. Our hosts were extremely helpful with advice and suggestions about places to go and things to see and do. They provided a folder in the room with a lot of very helpful information about the area. All very well organised. The internal decor and furnishings were colourful, clean and quirky. The back garden had a large decked area with privacy and plenty of comfy seating, fairy lights and outdoor heating. I want to say was how helpful Kevin was. We mentioned we had great difficulty booking a table at No7 restaurant - it was fully booked until the end of September. He managed to secure us bookings for a Sunday Lunch and evening dinner. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing stay and will be returning to this amazing establishment in the not too distant future.
