The staff were so friendly, the food was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable and clean, loved the lounge room with a fire going and sofas you can relax on.

I’d consider some background music in the dining room - everyone ends up whispering slightly rather than properly relaxing and talking.

Arrived New Year’s Eve for a two night stay and can say it was absolutely wonderful. The location and views are second to none, the house is amazing and the food prepared by Richard was truly outstanding. Richard and Angela really made us feel so relaxed and nothing was too much for them. A very special place.

Lovely property located in the Lake District and a convenient drive to Keswick and Ambleside. It was beautiful decorated for Christmas and gave warm cozy country house vibes. We were greeted with warm scones and tea by the fire. We stayed in the Mountain View room and we woke up to a beautiful scenery in the morning. Overall a good stay and the staff was lovely so highly recommended!

Breakfast was good and but could be improved to include more options for vegetarians. The English Breakfast didn’t have any hash browns or baked beans with it.
