Cove Bay Hotel

Great selection of food on the menu for both breakfast and evening meal. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly which made my stay very comfortable.

Very dated, we described it as Fawlty Towers, doors and stairs everywhere, 5 different staircases to get to our room then had to open 2 fire doors at once to open our room door. Keys were attached to a large wooden key ring! Also if not eating only served drinks in the bar which was like a working men's bar, we didn't go in there. Also we cut the stay early by a day

Comfortable and clean. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good restaurant/breakfast and service.

Overhead creaking floorboards. Noticeable at night. Old building though so maybe to be expected.

The room was extremely comfortable, freshly painted and newly carpeted. Very warm on a wild and wet weekend. The shower was fantastic, one of the best we have experienced. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant over 3 days and everything we tried was freshly and superbly cooked and beautifully served. The staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Parking is plentiful too.

Breakfast could offer a bit more in the way of fruit, granola etc. Cooked breakfast was good.

Being charged for irish coffee which wasn't in our meal order.
