Daintree Wilderness Lodge

Amazing! One of the best memories about the Daintree forest was staying in this place. It is so dreamy and beautiful. I'm so happy with my choice. The service was great, very attentive all the way. It was raining in the morning and a big umbrella appeared by the door when we were heading for breakfast (we do notice such things ;D) Thanks to Sasha for booking us the night tour and dinner. Also food is excellent in this place too! Breakfast, dinner and cocktails were delicious!

The food

We spent two nights in the Daintree area, staying one night at Daintree Wilderness Lodge and one night at Cape Trib Beach House. They offered two very different experiences, but together they made a great combination. Daintree Wilderness Lodge has a boutique feel with a more romantic and luxurious atmosphere. Being completely surrounded by the Daintree rainforest makes it a very special place to stay. Waking up amongst the trees and wildlife was an experience in itself. The cabins were fully equipped, and featured lots of natural light. One tip: bring a sleeping mask if you don't want to wake up with the sunrise! The staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide helpful suggestions on places to visit and things to do in the area, which we really appreciated. For us, it was the perfect place to spend a night and experience the rainforest in comfort. A memorable stay and something quite different from your average hotel.

Lovely location deep in the rain forest and palm ferns with birdsong to serenade you morning and night. Friendly and helpful staff with great tips on hikes and locations nearby to visit.

I booked one night here, choosing it over other cheaper options because I wanted to treat myself to a bit of luxury, and really wanted to feel immersed in the rainforest. I wasn't disappointed! The cabin was amazing - completely surrounded by the forest, accessed by a separate boardwalk to the individual cabin. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The cabin was immaculately clean. Staff were super friendly, particularly Sasha who helped answer questions before I arrived, and made me feel so welcome when checking in. The restaurant setting is beautiful, particularly for dinner when it's dark. There is also a nature walk - a trail through the rainforest where you just feel completely absorbed in nature. Sadly I didn't see any cassowaries but I did spot some footprints on my walk. I wish I'd had time to stay an extra night. If I ever visit the area again I'll definitely stay here again.

Can't think of a single thing I would be unhappy with. For me this accommodation was absolutely perfect.
