The setting and the staff.

This place has really gone down hill. While the staff were delightful, it appeared that they were left to run the place with no training or supervision. TV didn't work, toilet seat and toilet holder were both broken, room had been cleaned but staff had no idea of industry standards, the skylights were too dirty to see through. Photos of the rooms showed a wall of glass in the shower looking out onto the rainforest, when in fact it looked out onto a screen. The food in the restaurant was average at best with nothing freshly made. Sadly, the lack of maintenance by the owners results in this place having the feel of a backpackers with a luxury price tag.

Given its remote location, you cannot expect amenities like in a city but that is part of the adventure. The food was rather salty.

It's a lovely place beautifully situate in the daintree rainforest area. Has the feeling of living in the forest. The staff and very warm welcoming and happy to help. We had a lovely stay.

It's a bit pricey. It would have been nice to have a couple of chairs in the room too.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff here are all friendly and helpful and efficient. This place was a little difficult for me as I found walking on the boardwalk treacherous. Often there is no railing. As it was raining, I felt unsafe. I admit that younger people probably wouldn’t have this issue,but it’s something to be aware of. The evening meals are adequate, but the menu needs to change on a frequent basis. It’s impossible to dry the towels in your cabin as there’s insufficient towel rails. Your cabin is serviced on alternate days. It’s a good place to stay, I think 2 ,possibly 3 nights is the most I would recommend.

Very good accommodation set in rain forest

If you want to immerse yourself in the rainforest, this is the place to stay! This gorgeous eco resort is just a short drive from the Daintree Ferry and a peaceful oasis in beautiful surroundings. With only 7 lodges, it has a wonderful boutique feel and completely gets you back to nature. There are boardwalks that link the cabins, restaurant and car park, which are great for getting around without disturbing nature (and also great for wheelchairs and pushchairs). We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant, the steak was cooked to absolute perfection and so good my son had it two nights in a row! Breakfast was also lovely. The bar closed around 8.30pm so stock up at the bottle shop if you want any nighttime drinks. The resort has a great dining/lounge area inside and out, along with a lovely plunge pool for cooling off. The resort supplies towels for you to use for this. There is also a nature walk (note that this is not on a boardwalk so you will need sturdy shoes that may get muddy). We were glad that we spotted cassowaries after doing this and not during! Our cabin had a fridge with some milk for drinks included, tea and coffee making, and some gorgeous toiletries. There was air con and a fan. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and we felt very well looked after. We walked about ten minutes to the nearby ice cream and fruit farm, but the highlight of our visit was the Daintree Discovery Centre, an absolute must. We would definitely stay here again, it really is perfect. Thank you Lee, Jason and team!

Inside - the cabins were great

Pictures alluded to being in the treetops. It was close to the ground which was slushy and smelly. Smelled like sewerage at the entrance No wifi in cabins Spa not operating Breakfast was ordinary The price was very high compared to other places, so we assumed this was something very special. It wasn’t worth the extra cost

We enjoyed our stay. This place was amazing set in the most beautiful surroundings. The walk down to the river was worth the time. The rooms are clean and the bathroom with the full glass window looking out to the rainforest was serene. Jason was very helpful. He gave us information about what to do and where to go. And on the day we left we had a flat tyre and Jason was very kind to help us out to change it.
