Kube Saint-Tropez

Items were stolen from our room.

Beware - theft is rampant at the Kube Hotel and the hotel staff is in on it. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Our room was ransacked and robbed. Someone used a key to enter the room while we were at dinner our last night. Safe ripped out of the wall and smashed open. They stole handbags, jewelry, clothes, sunglasses and more. Hotel claims that there are no cameras where our room is. They did not care at all about what happened to us. The room next to us was also robbed. All of our doors and valuables were locked. This place is a disgrace and should not have a hospitality license. We are taking legal action against the hotel and will make sure every travel advisory review service is aware of what they stand for. Shame on us for not reading reviews first…turns out if you look back over the last decade this happens at the Kube ALL THE TIME. Hopefully this saves someone from going through what we went through. It’s just sad.

Size of room and very small bathroom for expensive price

This hotel is absolutely abysmal. My husband booked this hotel accidentally. It was a mistake of a lifetime. This hotel is located on a busy street. The location is landlocked by constant traffic which makes It very difficult to go anywhere during the day. The security is non existent. The gates are open all day long. Any random person can walk into the hotel who is not a guest and god forbid could wreak havoc on hotel guests. The rooms look like stucco townhouses from the 1980s in Idaho. You would never think you’re in France. You are greeted by a fire extinguisher at your door. The rooms are vile. Not clean, dirty stained black grout, horrendous decor. The bed feels like a mattress that hasn’t been replaced in 20 years. The staff is a group of young 20 something’s with almost no experience. The shower is a small hand shower mounted to the wall. It floods the entire bathroom. The towels feel like cardboard and not clean. I am crawling out of my skin putting my body on the surfaces of this dump. I feel duped and violated for being charged the amount of money we are paying. This is a 3 star hotel at best. My stay here has ruined my trip to st tropez unfortunately.

Location! So close to town, we walked there and back one night plus free shuttle is handy, however they charge 50 euros one way to any beach club.

Chaotic vibes with stressed out staff so we felt unwelcome. Two staff members admitted it wasn’t a good working environment. I know it’s peak season but prices are exorbitantly high. Even Security is slack. We had an intruder to our room door one night and nobody could solve the mystery. A few of the young female staff were nice sweet girls but in general it was chaos. Some lifts out of order, rooftop bar closed in the height of the season, unclear breakfast rules so we got charged for breakfast even though we paid inclusive rates. However, the property is beautiful with 3 swimming pools and lovely views to the bay. Sadly, value for money wasn’t there and we moved to Muse Hotel, which was outstanding.

Booking. Com Charged us over price for this hotel kind of rubbery!!! First they gave us room behind the kitchen and public bathroom. We didn’t accept that, manger wasn’t nice to us At the end she changed our room not even close to our satisfaction

The view from the hotel is beautiful and the common areas are clean and modern. The rooms have horrible showers that leak all over the bathroom floor, the floor hallways are dark, dirty and smell horrible and the door handles to the rooms don’t always work. The guest elevators didn’t work the entire stay so everyone had to use the kitchen elevator which smelled horrible and was really dirty. Pretty view but unfortunately not a pleasant stay especially for the rate.

The hotel has nice views. It’s situated across a busy road from the port side of St. Tropez. The room we had was very basic. The shower left water all over the entire bathroom and was very difficult to use and access. In general, the comforts you would expect at this price weren’t really present in the room. It felt more three star. Perhaps the renovated rooms are better? Staff were generally very nice but not very informed.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures, they have only invested in the pool area. The rooms are something out of the 80s, old furniture, bed with no headboard and a mattress that feels like something off the side of the road. Towels are old and stained, couches are stained, the curtains in the bathroom are also stained. The hallways are so dark probably to hide how poorly it is maintained. Our elevator is even broken and have to use a smelly service elevator. I’m pretty sure the handle on the door for our room can’t be broken by a child. This is just unacceptable at $1300/ night. I wish I could cancel and get my money back but we booked a non refundable room.
