Beautiful apartment, ideal location, spotlessly clean, fabulous views, very comfortable beds, lovely toiletries, very well stocked kitchen, lovely comfy couch, ample parking, easy check-in

There was maintenance happening one day with loud drilling in the corridor all day and as it was raining we couldn’t go out to get away from it unfortunately

Location is really good

One negative it is on a hill which means when it’s raining the ground is slippery to exit the premises. Cleaning unfortunately is poor and chairs and Couches are not moved to clean underneath them which leaves surprises for guests.

I was really hoping for a wonderful stay at Water's Edge Resort, but unfortunately it was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve had. The apartment was filthy. It genuinely seemed like no cleaning had been done between guests apart from changing the bedding. The floors were dirty, the bathrooms (including toilets) were unclean, and the kitchen was unacceptable—plates, glasses, and cutlery were put away dirty, and a frypan was stored covered in grease. Not surprisingly, there was a noticeable cockroach problem, which I suspect was made worse by the lack of hygiene. We specifically paid extra for a hot tub, but it quickly became unusable. The water chemistry clearly wasn’t maintained—something I’m familiar with as I own one myself—and it had a strong unpleasant smell. No servicing was done during our entire stay, making it both unpleasant, unsanitary, and unusable. Maintenance across the apartment was also very poor. The bathroom tap was so loose I could tighten it by hand. The balcony tiles were cracked and missing in places, posing a trip hazard. The sliding screen door was damaged and wouldn’t stay on its track, likely needing a simple wheel replacement that had clearly been neglected. The air conditioner leaked in the bedroom, leaving visible stains, and the shower leaked enough to soak the bathmat. Security and general upkeep were also concerning. The front screen door was missing its auto-closer and no key was provided to lock it. Elsewhere in the property, a neighbouring gutter had a large hole, causing water to pour into the reception area during rain. The elevator was unreliable, with doors failing to close properly. Wi-Fi was patchy at best, and the TV wouldn’t connect. (As someone who works in IT, I was able to work around this, but most guests likely wouldn’t be able to.) The only positive I could note was that the oven appeared to be relatively new. Overall, while the layout of the apartment was decent and some effort had gone into the décor, this was completely overshadowed by how dirty and poorly maintained everything was. With proper cleaning and basic maintenance, this place could be enjoyable—but in its current state, it falls well below expectations. The location is great and the employees were helpful and nice, but it is just let down by everything else. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
