The evening meal was very pleasant and the waitress very helpful

The road outside is rather busy and noisy. It is probably impossible to improve the noise insulation, but that would be great if it can be achieved.

Friendly Staff and great venue. Breakfast was top notch.

Excellent - everything

The hotel was very pretty - a lovely thatched building and the pub and restaurant areas were very nice. The staff were friendly. My husband’s breakfast was good - he had eggs Benedict. Parking was easy and there was plenty.

We were forgotten about at dinner when we’d asked to see the dessert menu and had to go to the bar to request after 30mins of asking to see the menu. The food was ok but not worth the expensive price tag. The room was also ok - we had the only room left in the property which was a disabled room. It was a nice size but the bed was right next to the window which made it noisy as the pub is right on the road, and there was a strange ticking/dripping noise all night. Also, the TV was the opposite side of the room to the bed so impossible to watch from bed. The bathroom was a good size but some fittings looked tired/rusty. Breakfast was ok but again not the best I’ve ever had. There was nothing fresh on my plate other than the egg - the tomatoes were tinned, the mushrooms were dry and tasteless, and the clearly frozen potatoes felt re-heated/rubbery.
