Fridge in room , nice beer , nice staff , nice orange juice at breakfast

Room in very poor order , weird shelf over bath that was probably constructed by Stevie Wonder and was black and horrid , bath stained and chipped , sink stained and chipped, general grime all around the edges of bathroom floor , window full of flaking paint and an array of dead flies on display, bed was very hard , slept ok but woke up very stiff , there was a load of fluff behind head board . food was of very poor standard , my wife’s dinner was nasty almost inedible, mine was ok but kind of greasy , we cancelled following evening

Food of variable quality. Breakfast never under cooked, sometime a little over done.

Stunning countryside pub that was ideally located for our needs. High-spec and very spacious room which was ideal for our party of three. Very comfortable beds. Well-equipped bathroom with lovely products. Fresh milk and water in the mini-fridge were a nice touch to complement the refreshment tray. We enjoyed the Sunday carvery, which had a good choice of meats and a great selection of veg. There was a great breakfast menu to choose from in the morning including breakfast bags which could be very handy. Friendly staff. Very enjoyable stay overall and we aim to be back.

Ventilation could be improved as it was a very hot night. Maybe a second fan would be helpful if the windows can't be opened.

The staff were friendly and the food was excellent and good value. The ales were well kept according to my partner .
