Amazing characterful property.

Room was cold, no heating till requested. No hot water in the morning. No batteries in the tv remote. Bathroom extractor fan didn’t work. One of the two bathroom lights didn’t work. Cobwebs in the window. Holes in the carpet. Bath side panel coming off.

It is very near Canterbury Cathedral. High Street is just around the corner. Pricing for a family room is good. Spanish Tapa Restaurant below (part of the hotel) was nice, great food (octopus and paella). Super friendly staff. Complimentary croissant breakfast with jam, marmalade and free tea and coffee.

Stairs, as with all loft rooms on period houses I guess. Nothing can be done about this.

Could have been better. Tiny bowls for cereal.

We didn’t get the room we booked because the water pressure was inadequate and were put up in the eves of the hotel accessed by a steep stairs. On the plus side the room was very comfortable and incredibly warm.
