Prima hotel op 100 meter van de metrohalte. De kamer was ruim en met keuken en wasmachine en een goed bed wat niet te hard was. Erg vriendelijk personeel zeker de portiers zijn erg vriendelijk. Je kan eventueel vanuit het winkelcentrum direct het hotel inlopen en zelfs ook vanuit de metro, maar omdat je dan eerst het winkelcentrum door moet voegt dat weinig toe. Aan de andere kant van de weg zit nog een ander winkelcentrum en verder is het een rustige zakenwijk. Zeker een aanrader om als uitval basis te gebruiken omdat je met een Didi, die makkelijk kan stoppen voor de ingang, je goed naar de Chineese muur of vliegveld kan komen.

Dit was veruit het duurste hotel van onze 4 weken China en dan vallen er wel wat zaken tegen. De bank was extreem zacht en was niet op te zitten, maar goed dat is iets persoonlijk. De douche was groot, maar de hoge douchekop was niet te gebruiken omdat er dan geen druk meer op stond dus sta je te douchen met een douchekop in je handen. Het ontbijt viel erg tegen en zijn we na twee maal ook niet meer naar toegegaan. Het westerse gedeelte is klein zoals meestal in Azië, maar wordt heel slecht bijgevuld en er is wel een omelet station, maar alles wordt van te voren gebakken en is dus koud. Maar vooral de schoonmaak is erg slecht, bed werd niet verschoond ook al hadden we het wel aangegeven dat het een keer moest gebeuren en er werd totaal niet gestofzuigd of gedweild in de 6 nachten dat we er sliepen en op de keukenwand zaten allemaal spetters van de vorige gasten. Jammer want verder is het een prima hotel.

1. The location is good with easy access to the subway and high speed train to Beijing Capital Airport. 2. The Raffles City Beijing shopping mall has a good mix of retail outlets, nice restaurants, a good bread shop and a 7-11 convenient shop.

Our 1st night stay was bad due to a faulty laundry machine. The technician came and saw the water was not turned on. He turned it on and left. Yet the washing machine was not working and displayed errors E20 and E26. It was a nightmare with our clothes dripping wet throughout the night. The next day a new washing machine was installed and everything was good.

Nice location, on top of a shopping mall which provides lots of convenience

I lived here for 6 months a decade ago, and it’s such a big contract now vs then. This time I just feel saddened that it’s very run down, and cost cutting everywhere. Service level is also not top notch any more. For example, I filled forms twice (via Booking.com, and their own form) to inform that I’ll arrive at 3pm, but when I arrived at 3:40pm, the room was still not ready; and the front desk staff just said because all the previous guests requested late checkout so I just had to wait. I couldn’t believe it that isn’t the room supposed to be ready from 2pm? Didn’t I tell them twice I’ll arrive at 3pm? Can they not even manage late checkout? Then finally a room was ready; however another person arrived and was looking to book a long-term stay, so they told me that they had to prioritise that person and use that room as a show room, and I had to keep waiting. Wow, I really appreciated their honesty that I was not their priority!

Not easy to find entrance within the shopping centre, we arrived via train. More tips on easy routes would have been helpful.

Everything … staffs are kind and friendly

Everything, clean and very comfortable
