"DRURY DOES IT ALL WELL"

We think this is one of the nicest Drury Inns we’ve stayed at, and we’ve liked them all. Very nicely appointed room. Tasty supper and breakfast. Very kind and cheerful staff. Comfy bed. Nice historical photos in the lobby area. Ample parking.

The early morning staff conversed very loudly amongst themselves; and the maintenance people forgot to vacuum a popcorn mess by the lobby fireplace seating. Nitpick stuff, but aggravating.

"Horrible Stay"

Food and Drinks were good and Food and Beverage Staff were great. The rest of the stay was horrible. Have stayed so many times probably own half the hotel, but the last two times were absolutely terrible, and will probably never stay again. The traveling sports families are obnoxious drunks who do not supervise their kids. The pool area is like a college beer party. We couldn't even use the pool or hot tub. We booked a Suite and were put in the handicap suite which is smaller. The shower had no pressure and the room wasn't very clean. Pulled out the couch bed and it was filthy and smelled like a dead animal. Discusting!! People were in the food area for the Kick Back and Breakfast with no shoes on which was disgusting. We were charged more for the room due to all the sports crap going on in Des Moines. Should have been charged less because our stay was definitely downgraded to do all of the traveling sports families. They are the ones that should be charged more because they prevent us from using the hotel services. Definitely price gauging people using your hotel should be illegal. Just totally discusted - our sisters weekend was definitely ruined.

"Drury Inn and Suites a very good deal"

Drury hotels are always a nice place to stay. This one does not disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful and welcoming. The location off the freeway is good. The room is clean and spacious. It is a very good value. The hotel itself is not in a quiet area but the noise level outside is not intrusive in the room. The cost is a very good value especially considering the breakfast and evening drinks and food
