RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort

Lovely room, comfortable bed friendly staff in reception, bar and restaurant. Shame we only had one night.

Room right next to the beach, so had wonderful views of the dolphins, sunrise and sunsets which were incredible. Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The room we had was right next to the bar and also the “camp kitchen”, BBQ and eating area which became very noisy when groups were using the facilities and also kicking a football around. The shower area was a wet room (accessible) so unfortunately everything in the bathroom got wet once’s you’d used the shower. The main restaurant at breakfast time seemed to be very short staffed with waits of over 15mins for coffee and longer for breakfast.

I was in a shared bathroom room. There was no internet coverage. I believe that you should have the internet available for the whole resort or at least where the rooms are. I had to complete forms online which I found difficult to do. When I went to the restaurant to get coverage I was kicked off constantly. It's not good enough. Also it would have been good to be informed that the airport is 1/2 hour away and that there is no way to get to the resort unless you have a car. Just a tiny more customer service would be helpful. I wrote to the resort about the dolphins and received a curt reply but no further information. I found the whole experience disappointing.

Pool should be heated durinf the winter, so it can be used.

Cabin is cramped for a small family of 4. Killed a large roach on my first evening.
