"Beautiful hotel, Nice Staff, Breakfast??? Really?"

8.0

We only stayed a night and were impressed with the room, the Master Suite, the grounds and the beauty of the hotel. The staff was very nice. There was some talavera for sale in the room, which did not bother us, but breakfast was insulting. We were told it was included, but "breakfast" was three slices each of pineapple and watermelon and four slices of papaya. There was also two slices of white bread toast to share between the three of us, a couple with a 3-yr old, and they did not give the baby anything. He did not even get his own plate of fruit, measley as it was. There was juice (for the adults) and the wateriest coffee I have ever drank. The worst was that there were two bottles of water on the table set up with the plates, napkins, etc., so of course we assumed they came with the "meal". When we got up to leave and took the bottles, we were told we would be given a bill for the water and had to sign for them. The waiter seemed embarrassed to have to charge us, but it is obviously the policy of the hotel. It was a real turn off. For such a gorgeous, high-end place, the breakfast was so low-quality that it really ruined the experience and I would probably never stay there again. This is a shame because the hotel is very luxurious and the staff are very accommodating and sweet. I would worry that in a longer stay there might be other cheap aspects of the hotel's functioning that might emerge and undermine the quality of the experience.

"Quaint restored old home-charming"

8.0

Only problem with going to beautifully restored old houses is that they do not have air conditioning or it is not a common thing in Puebla so we would have like the room to be a bit cooler during the day. The staff went out of their way to provide fans for our comfort. This is a very interesting place to stay and it goes along with the theme of a historic Puebla experience.

"Well-located, intimate hotel"

10.0

This hotel is an old home that has been very tastefully renovated. It is in back of the Amparo Museum, three blocks from the zocalo, and near an area of antique shops. It was quiet, comfortable, and had a nice restaurant in a covered patio. It does not have an elevator and the stairs are a bit steep, but we enjoyed the little balcony which allowed for good light and fresh air. The staff was helpful and cordial. We had access to the small exercise room and the hotel offers free wi-fi. We would definitely stay at the Casona San Antonio again.

"The best hotel ever!"

10.0

Casona San Antonio has been one of the best experiences ever. The hotel is beautiful, the staff wonderful, the food superb, and the warmth unsurmountable. As we arrived, we had a note in our room with our name on it welcoming us. There was fruit for us to enjoy at no extra charge, and every day there was a pleasant surprise. The room was spotless, and the terraces, and patios were romantic and inviting. If I visit Puebla again this would defenitely be the hotel I would stay in. I highly recommend it.

"Nice place to stay in central Puebla"

10.0

I arrived at 2 in the morning, having had no dinner. The staff welcomed me and my daughters, and promptly prepared a lovely little dinner for us. The rooms were comfortable and attractively furnished, and the beds quite comfortable by American standards. The hotel itself is set in an old residence with a central courtyard, but the amenities are definitely modern and up to date. The rooms included a nice breakfast of delicious coffee and fresh fruit, with additional items available if desired. The only downside I could identify was the noise caused by a road construction crew early Saturday morning, and church bells early Sunday morning. This was notably bothersome because I could identify no way to close the windows. There may have been a way, but I could not identify it. Nevertheless, I found the hotel to be a quaint and comfortable place to stay with a mixture of the charm of an old place with the comfort of a new one. I would definitely stay here again, possibly requesting a room in the back, or trying again to figure out how to close the windows.
