Golden Beach Resort

Einer der wenigen Unterkünfte direkt an der Promenade. Das reichhaltige Frühstück gab es im Thai Thai Restaurant nebenan. Das Personal im Restaurant war immer gut drauf und sehr zuvorkommend.

Wir hatten die Villa mit Meerblick, aber hauptsächlich hat man auf die Bar und den Message-Pavillon geschaut (siehe Foto), die ab mittags auch noch verhangen waren. Meeresrauschen war nicht zu hören, weil die „Schnellstraße“ an Longtail Booten zw. Ao Nang und Railay durchgängig voll und laut unterwegs waren. Es gab nur einen Schlüssel. Der Raum war abends auf über 30 Grad aufgeheizt und die Klimaanlage war sehr laut und nicht besonders effektiv.

Szép tiszta. Nagyon szépen rendbetartott kert. Közel a tengerhez. Később indult a repülőnk, és megengedték, hogy 12-órakor jelentkezzünk ki.

A tenger a (thaiföldi elvárásaimhoz képest) nem volt szép tiszta. Magas a zöld alga tartalma. Apálykor olyan zavaros volt a víz, hogy inkább nem mentünk bele.

Great location

We did not stay in the main hotel building, but in one of the individual round houses within the grounds. We were on the upper floor which is accessed by an almost spiral staircase. The room was extremely spacious and clean as was the bathroom. It was a quirky design with round walls. Lovely for something different! The water pressure in the bathroom shower was great. There was also a full bath if you prefer that. The pool area was large, clean and sunbeds comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Not a large selection if you were staying for more than a week, but a good enough selection of western choices plus a couple of Thai dishes too. I would stay at the Golden Beach Resort again because it's location is perfect, right on Ao Nang Beach. However, until they sort those mattress I think it would be short stays only.

The beds. Oh My Word!! The beds. Having read previous reviews we knew to expect hard beds. I like a firm mattress and so expected to be fine. These beds are next level hardness! Literally felt like sleeping on the floor with a blanket over it. We were only there for 2 nights so I wasn't overly bothered by it, but if I'd booked a weeks stay my back might have been protesting! Seriously Golden Beach Hotel - sort those mattresses out! When we checked in we had to pay a security deposit (or credit card swipe). Not entirely sure why as none of the other hotels we stayed in have asked for that. They also have signs up everywhere saying if you break something you have to pay for it. When we checked out we had to wait while they checked our room - and it wasn't to check if we'd drunk from the mini bar. Just seemed a bit strange...

Gute Lage direkt am Strand !

Sehr schöne Anlage. Frühstück am Meer ein Traum. Schade, dass es keine frischen Saft gab , nur künstlich schmeckende Säfte was für Thailand ungewöhnlich ist. Am Pool waren die Liegematten nicht ansprechend.
