Staff were really nice and helpful food was very good bar and restaurant were very nice the location was excellent and it was great value for money

We had room 5 which was very nice but the bathroom let it down it needs a lot of work to it mirror broke and hanging by one screw holding it up shaver light didn’t work toilet seat was loose grout needs redoing cracked and broke tiles and needs repainting throughout

The Room was very Comfortable and clean very nice Room The Bar Manager was very friendly and professional 5 star give the man a Pay Rise for dealing with everything on his own

Location in The Gorge

Shower in room 8 had no bracket to hold shower. No shower screen or curtain, to prevent water on floor.

The location, by the Severn, was lovely - our room overlooked the river. The Museum of the Gorge (closed at the moment but reopening later in the summer) was across the road . The iron bridge just a few minutes away and Coalbrookdale is only a short drive or 30 minutes walk from The Swan. The en-suite room was spacious, if dated, but it was very clean with fresh linen and towels, and tea and coffee etc were provided. The staff were great - busy just after the bank holiday weekend - and very helpful. Free parking was a bonus. Good beer and OK food - breakfast is a couple of doors away at the Malthouse, which seems to be run by the same company.

The bed rooms are dated, including the en-suite, but will be considered retro in a few years…. We liked the decor in the pub - particularly the coracle on the wall.

What a fantastic stay. Staff very friendly and informative. Room was perfect, parking onsite, and a delicious breakfast the next morning. We can't wait to come back here.

Luckily I travel with my own fan, the weather was scorching, making the room very hot. But we had a comfortable night's sleep thanks to my fan.

The Swan is ann amazing old building with quirky rooms, each one unique I think. My room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was great and plenty of hot water. The location is amazing, and my room had a great view of the river. The manager and staff were friendly and very helpful. I liked the place and the people a lot, and I enjoyed my stay and was very comfortable (I was doing a course very close by, and wanted somewhere warm and cosy and peaceful to relax in the evenings after my course).

The first room I was,allocated turned out to not have hot water (just tepid) so I went downstairs to ask about this. The manager very helpfully offered me another room, and my new room was fine, with a great bathroom and plenty of hot water. I was a bit surprised about the steep stairs to the room and the carpet on the stairs has seen better says. But to be fair, this is an old building and I think I had bern informed there is no lift.

Good location. Lovely place to eat and drink. Great food. Friendly staff who are very accommodating and will help with any issues. Refunded due to issues with the room.

Unacceptable bed. Was a temporary folding bed with a mattress with springs that will keep anyone awake all night. A topper is needed. TV aerial didn't work very well and limited TV channels. Dirty window with moss growing on it. Very noisy, from staff and other guests, doors slamming all the time. Bathroom not very clean, with a broken sink. No fan for the hot weather and with the window open, the noise from the kitchen is unbearable.
