Stephen Clay Homestead B&B

Wonderful stay, very clean and charming characteristics. Caretakers were phenomenal and more than accommodating of requests. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Stephen Clay B&B. We went to visit our daughter and her family for their Lights on the Hill celebration. Jack played guitar and I contributed to the bake sale and helped sell the products to the visitor's and we had a really great trip.

Everything was great! Best eggs Benedict I ever had.

I enjoy historic house B&Bs, and this one was a special treat, from the Indian Shutters to the tasty breakfast to the herbal tea before bed.

Ed and Theresa (Innkeepers) have done a wonderful job restoring this 200+ year old home. The home was very clean, quiet, and had a large living room with comfortable furniture out and many knick-knacks and books about the history of Candia. The Music Room (our guest room for 3 nights) was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, and although it was located on the first floor it was very quiet. Ed and Theresa are gracious hosts and provide the personable touch that the chain hotels cannot provide. Ed cooks an amazing breakfast. His eggs benedict was so good I had it 3 days in a row. My wife loved the french toast and the real maple syrup. They offer a large variety of coffees, teas, and even have hot chocolate that guests can have 24 hours a day. Ed spent several hours of his time with me discussing the modifications made to the home over the years and even showed me his working antique tractors and implements. Theresa was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She obviously takes great pride in her home.

The room was much larger than it seemed in the pictures. The outside had some wear and tear on the paint, but the inside was cozy and very nice. Great breakfast. The owners were very nice. Personable, but also left you alone. Overall, enjoyed my stay and will come back if I'm ever in the area.

Ed and Theresa were great! Breakfast was delicious, don’t pass up their special scrambled eggs😉. Everything was clean, inviting and very comfortable. Our room was very spacious and both the home and town were quiet and relaxing. We will definitely return and recommend that anyone looking to stay in the Manchester to Concord area check out the Stephen Clay B&B!!!

Room was clean & comfortable, owners (?) Were friendly, informative, and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We stayed for 1 night while traveling in the area. It was part of our anniversary weekend, and was excellent. The B&B was quaint and well cared for; the owners very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and cooked to order. We stayed in a room that shared a bath. Bath was just down the hall, and the provided bathrobes were cozy and convenient. The wine glasses, corkscrew and chocolates provided in the room was a sweet touch. The area was quiet, just as we like it, and the owners had nice suggestions for dinner (Chello's- yummy!!) We had pleasant conversation with newlyweds and the owners over breakfast, and got a bit of local history as well. Highly recommended, would definitely go back.
