B&B very nice. Breakfast was great. Wouldn’t get a room with a shared bathroom again, though there were no issues, I just prefer my own bathroom in my room.
We had a very comfortable stay. We had a private bath and ac kept the room cool on a hot night. The room had many of its vintage features including shutters that slide into the wall. When in use the shutters keep the room dark and quiet. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa is always available. Breakfsst was delicious. The area is quaint but close to Manchester and Deerfield.

When I researched the usual suspects of hotels for a NASCAR w/e in New Hampshire, one thing kept coming up. I can stay here (Stephen Clay Homestead in Candia NH) for the same or even quite a bit less? Wow. I'm sure glad I did. My hosts Theresa and Ed are delightful folks and Ed is one heck of breakfast chef (Eggs Benedict are a must). Centrally located to the coast and NH Motor Speedway, this B and B is worth every penny. The rooms are cozy, the bed was super comfortable and it just has a homespun feel about as you can sit out on the porch in a rocking chair and listen to nothing but the birds and the wind through the beautiful big trees. I'd go back in a heart beat and you should too.

Coming from Connecticut to visit our family in nearby Deerfield the Stephen Clay House offers us a great spot to stay while visiting. The place is neat as a pin and the Concorde Suite offered us a very comfy bed. I slept great with none of the usual wake up noises from a normal hotel. The home is on a quiet street with lots of natural beauty.
The owner gave me excellent directions to Pittsfield for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Because I got up very early to see the balloons rise, I didn't sample their breakfast but it sounded delicious.

I was very impressed with the owners, particularly Teresa who made everyone including myself feel at home. The room I had definitely felt like home, nicely furnished and a great place to get away from citylife. The guests as well. were fun to interact with. The breakfasts tasted very good.I would return in the future to this inn.
