Delano Homestead Bed and Breakfast

Absolutely beautiful house. I did not know any history of the house prior to arriving so it was a treat to get to learn the historical importance of the property. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The host and innkeeper were so hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Thanks again! I truly hope to visit another time.

This is a beautiful historic mansion in a lovely seaside town. The home is stunning, with a backyard garden. The rooms are comfortable, and beautifully appointed, the staff is warm, welcoming and helpful and happy to recommend places of interest to visit while you're there.

Delano Homestead has an amazing history, which we were unaware of until we arrived. It is a charming house, decorated with respect to it's age , yet providing every modern convenience. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and something to suit everyone. Tracy the housekeeper made us feel very welcome and could not have done more to make us feel at home.

This is a charming B and B with a historic twist having been the residence of FDR's maternal grandparents and which he visited as a boy. We loved our cute little attic room. Comfy beds and immaculately maintained. Upstairs rooms are a steep climb for those with gimpy knees but the ambience made up for that.

The history of the property was intriguing to us when we considered our stay. It was a unique opportunity to stay in a home that has ties to former president Franklin D Roosevelt. It could have been my oversight, but we were surprised that the bathroom for our room was down the hall. It really wasn't a big deal as we basically had the floor to ourselves. I was also surprised that the rooms don't have doors that lock, but again, it was no big deal as we were the only guests. The owner and property manager were both gracious and very hospitable.

The breakfast was fine— everything else was excellent!

Not great breakfast if for vegetarians.

We really enjoyed staying at the treasure of a Bed & Breakfast. It was within walking distance of some fabulous restaurants and Paul was a very gracious host!
