Bay Villas Resort

We had a great stay at Bay Villas Resort. Check‑in was very easy, even after hours, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and well‑equipped with cooking facilities, which made things simple and convenient. The location was perfect — an easy walk into the main centre of Port Douglas, but still quiet enough to feel relaxed.

Nothing major we didn’t like — everything was comfortable and easy.

Basic, clean and comfortable stay with everything we needed, spacious living space & handy to have laundry facility.

Disappointing interaction with reception when trying to extend our stay by 1 night. Bluntly informed not possible to extend in same room due to the booking they had, we were pretty relaxed and were happy to move rooms and be flexible but bluntly informed only option is to do a new booking with a minimum 2 night stay. Receptionist was very unhelpful, inflexible and made the place feel like it was a business lacking any personal feel. It seems illogical to have a room vacant when you could have 2 people in one for an extra night who are already staying here - might be something to think about for the future. Disappointing end to a comfortable stay.
