The Virginian Motel

We did not like anything about this hotel at all.

To start, check in was a hassle. Paid with card but required $100 cash only deposit. Office opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. The same lady was there and I am assuming it is the owner. The emergency contact numbers after hours goes straight to voice mail. The parking lot was filled with homeless people on drugs, domestic violence issues, etc. It was not a safe or peaceful stay. The shower had a faulty knob and no pressure to the water at all. The beds were dirty, the floor and bed was full of sand. There was no trash can in the room at all. There was nowhere to put clothes away or hang anything up. Going to check out we wanted to leave at 7 am. I was done with this hotel. Could get nobody to answer in the office until 10 am even though another guest told me to knock on room 101 and ask about check out. Again no way to contact anyone to get out of this place. I will never stay here again. After opening for check out was told we would have to wait yet another hour for the return of our deposit. I told her if I had to call the cops I would but I was not waiting another minute. She found her housekeeper and returned the deposit. Also to note the owners family was using the pool the entire time we were there with tons of small kids. A pool with no place to sit or put towels. They chain smoked the entire time so we could not use the pool very long. I will not ever go here again. I would rather sleep in my car. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. NEVER AGAIN!!!

No one to check us in upon arrival, after knocking for 20 min a housekeeper came and just unlocked two rooms. Then at check out no one there so we could check out had to wait almost an hour for Someone to show up

Staff was very rude. Crackheads and prostitutes were running around the hotel like cockroaches. The rooms were disgusting including the floors and beds. The office wreaked of weed. There was dog hair and pubes all in the beds like the sheets were never changed. The rooms smelled musty. The fire alarms kept going off for no reason. Bath tub was stopped up and full of water. The staff does not allow you to check out until right at 11 and then they weren’t even there in time for you to check out. They force you to return the tv remote and room key to the office before you can leave. They make you wait even longer so they can go inspect the room before giving your security deposit back, therefore holding you up even longer. Then after that, they refuse to give receipts to prove the security deposit was being refunded. We wanted to leave immediately, but they refuse refunds so they put us in another room at the top floor (no elevator). The bed appeared cleaner but the floors and bathroom were still disgusting. They wasted so much of our time that I didn’t even get to go see the ocean and that was the whole point in going there in the first place. Never staying there again.
