York Cove Hotel

Enjoyed our stay, if only for one night. It was nice and close to what we wanted to see. The unit was spacious and comfortable, bathroom and bed great.

It was a bit of a twisty walk to our room. Everything else great

Great layout and large apartment. Amazing view and walking distance to town centre

Facilities are getting a little worn. Entrance to apartments pretty ordinary. Air conditioning needs looking at, unit in main bedroom noisy and lounge room unit doesn't work well enough for the large area. Luckily we had mild weather so we just left them off.

Room apartment with two bathrooms and all the amenities we needed. Comfortable beds and nice balcony with glass for shelter from the breeze - perfect for an afternoon drink . Lovely and clean and cleaning lady super friendly and helpful.

No facilities operating at the site so had a semi abandoned vibe. No restaurants on that side of the water so either a walk or drive around to the shops. Really awful smell as you entered the side after hours door- seemed to be undergoing a renovation downstairs?

The property was very clean and comfortable. The key location was easy to locate as per the email that we received.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Poor and unprofessional signage and access for people carrying cases, stairs and a maze of doorways twists and turns. Facilities such as pool have not been used pr maintained in many years.

The cleaning staff were fantastic and friendly. The room was really spacious and very comfortable.

The building owner had let the place go. We had a view of a redundant pool that was a mess. The leaseholders had asked for him to upgrade the hotel many times but he hadn't done anything.

Friendly and helpful staff

It was on the cove, lovely position on the water. The room was massive there was a gym if you wanted. No complaints regarding the apartment.

No elevators. If you have any kind of disability it would be incredibly difficult to get two large heavy suitcases down the stairs where our room was. Thankfully we were not located upstairs. Not sure if it was noted anywhere when I booked. We entered down the ramp via the gym exit where a trainer thankfully opened the door for us. Tried to enter via the pool door and thought that might have been the easiest way but the key did not open the apartment door, so one of us went via the stairs to open that door from within. On exiting we left via the gym door. Totally unacceptable to have anyone trying to navigate those stairs with heavy suitcases. Shame the restaurant wasn’t open. We did not see any staff. Went to the Low Head lighthouse on our way back to Hobart. I’ve not got photos of our apartment but no complaints about our accommodation 10/10.
