Fernie Slopeside Lodge

It’s a ski lodge. Very well dated and used. Good scenery of the dry ski hills and lifts. The worst part of the whole experience was being in a hotel, in the middle of summer and they don’t have ice machine.

The lodge was a great spot for a brief one night stop over on our way through town. I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious comfortable and clean the room was, and how cozy and homey the lodge felt.

We were there in the summer months, and amenities in the village were limited/nonexistent. I imagine it's a different scene all together in winter, but summer was like a ghost town. This was fine for a one-night say, but would be a little more intolerable for a longer visit.

Charlotte was excellent and helpful.

Loved where the property was. It needs new beds and to be updated all through the room. The bathroom was dirty. Im suprised where it is, thats its so old.

Only rooms available for the period I booked with my group of 5 people. Overall, rooms were clean enough, and quiet enough, once 11pm came around. Large indoor common area near our rooms allowed our group to stretch out a bit and relax.

While I accepted that the lodge was out of town (on the ski hill), we showed up just BEFORE the stated time doors would be locked (8pm MDT), and they were already locked, no one around. Had to call and request someone come let us in. Unfortunate that on-hill restaurants (walkable from our rooms) were all closed as of 8pm MDT - and even on a Saturday night. This meant we had to order food delivery from an in-town restaurant and pay extra for that instead. Rooms are getting quite dated. furniture showing its wear, and someone had obviously been smoking in our Non-Smoking rooms.

This property is old and tired. Old furnitures, terrible lighting, stains on carpet and chairs. Check in is too late; 5pm. Check out is too early; 10am.
