"Practically perfect."

Design and furnishings were excellent. Felt very private and pampered. Breakfast and happy hour were excellent. Staff was attentive and prompt.

Minor issue but would have liked higher quality TP in the bathroom.

"Wonderful relaxing stay"

The property was lovely inside and out. Great outdoor sitting area by a pool. The house was great. Lovely dining room for breakfast and happy hour.breakfast was superb

"Expected better service for the size and price"

Nice location. Food above average. Lots of carbs. Took over 24 hrs to get more toilet paper to room. Wouldn’t provide new batteries 4AA to keep our safe operational.

"Idylle in top ruhiger Lage"

Die 1906 Lodge ist außergewöhnlich! In kurzer Wegstrecke vom Hot Spot am Strand entfernt, kommt man hier zu völliger Entspanntheit und Ruhe! Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet, wir hatten sogar zwischen Bad und Schlafraum einen (Gas-)Kamin, der von beiden Seiten einseh- und spürbar war. Dazu einen Balkon zum Innenhof mit entspannendem Wasserspiel. Dort wurde auch das frisch zubereitete, abwechslungsreiche Frühstück serviert. Parkplätze sind im umgebenen Wohngebiet tagsüber gut zu finden, vielleicht hatten wir aber auch nur Glück?! Das Personal ist sehr hilfreich und enorm freundlich. Die Lodge hat insgesamt einen kolonialzeitlichen, vornehmen Charakter den man mit Haut und Haar spürt.

Die Fahrräder, die das Haus anbietet sind unserer Meinung nach nicht verkehrssicher. Keine Vorderradbremsen, nur eine kaputte Klingel (wenn überhaupt, Rad 2 hatte gar keine) und die Rücktrittbremse bergab lösten keine guten Gefühle aus. Da ist ein wackeliger Sattel noch das geringste Problem. Aus Gründen der Verkehrssicherheit gehören diese ausgetauscht, für uns aber kein Grund für einen Punktabzug.

A charming B&B with a great location near the beach. The staff is friendly and competent. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. The afternoon happy hour in the courtyard was perfect. We would definitely stay again.
