1906 Lodge

My husband and I traveled to CA for a 10 day trip, making four stops. This was our favorite stay. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spotless. The breakfast was delicious and the afternoon happy hour was a fun bonus. They even served us while we sat on our little porch. They have free bike rental for two hours and were so flexible when we called to say we would be a tad late. I loved this place and highly recommend.

Great location, walking distance to several local restaurants and the beach. The breakfast and happy hour should not be missed. Lovely restored building with modern amenities.

This lovely property has elevated a little getaway to a peaceful, relaxed escape. It is walkable to shops and restaurants while embedded in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. Morning breakfast and afternoon happy hour in the sunny courtyard feels like being an honored guest in the household of a dear friend. We look forward to returning again every year.

We have been coming to 1906 Lodge for a number of years now, and the experience is always excellent. From the great breakfasts to the afternoon happy hour this place always pleases. Centrally located, quiet, clean and great service make for an excellent stay.

My favorite place to stay on Coronado — this was my third visit, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. This is a beautifully decorated bed and breakfast in a perfect location — just a short walk to Orange Avenue, close to the beach, and near everything you’d want to do on the island. Parking is easy and stress-free, which is a huge plus on Coronado. There’s garage parking under the hotel, as well as safe street parking right nearby (which is what I used), and there is no extra charge for parking. The rooms are absolutely lovely. The beds are very comfortable, the sheets are wonderful, and everything is beautifully decorated. I had everything I needed during my stay. Over the years, I’ve stayed both in the historic rooms as well as the suites in the newer part of the property, and I truly loved both — they each have their own charm. One of my favorite touches is the breakfast served every morning and the afternoon cocktail hour. It’s such a perfect way to start and end the day, and the food is always wonderful. The staff deserves special mention — possibly the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever experienced. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and they genuinely make you feel at home. Also perfect for single business travelers as well as couples and families. We've done all three. Easy drive over the bridge to San Diego. This time I had meetings at the new Gaylord which is in Chula Vista, and opted to drive in from the 1906 and so glad I did. Another bonus is the walkability. It’s an easy walk to Clayton Coffee and Trident Coffee (both fabulous), as well as countless great restaurants. I will absolutely stay here again. This is my go-to place on Coronado, and I truly wouldn’t choose anywhere else.

It was a wonderful experience and I love this place. The breakfast was great and Kelly helped me so much! The afternoon n appetizer and wine hour was also awesome.

Absolutely perfect! We were in town for an anniversary weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 1906 Lodge! The room, the food, the service; everything about our visit was wonderful.

Lexi made out stay delightful, fully explaining bikes, beach chairs, happy hour options, etc. The location is ideal and room was spacious. Lovely public spaces to relax.
