Apartment Espoir

The staff is exceptional! Keith, Sabine and Angela were so kind, helpful and gracious. The apartment was clean, the pool is gorgeous and the view is exceptional.

Because of the beautiful views, the apartment is on a hill so just be prepared for a few steps getting to the pool and the beach. It's totally walkable, but there isn't handicap paths.

Keith is a great host, amazing location, 5 min walk from a lovely quiet sunset beach. Comfortable room Beautiful gardens.

Our accommodation had a double bed, my self and my husband are used to at least a kingsize so found it a bit small.

The only aspect about the property to like was the view from the front porch! Which is why it is the first photo used by the owner, conveniently hiding the outside condition of the property and the general area!

Apartment Espoir is a really tired property, equipped with homeware from the 70s, built on the side of a hill, accessed by a steep gravel road full of massive potholes and patrolled by loads of stray dogs making walking around the area very difficult! The apartment itself had a smell of a really old house, a really hard bed which made sleeping comfortably impossible, hard sitting room made of garden furniture and a very steep slope downhill to access the path to the beach. The beach itself nearby was dirty and upon inspection never visited! The owner lives on sight and has three large vicious dogs who woke us up everyday barking relentlessly just outside our windows! The apartment gets a change of worn out towels and sheets once a week! We feel really disappointed with the condition of the apartment and spoiled our two week holiday to the Island! I do not low how the rest of the reviewers have rated this property! Highly suspicious! I would definately avoid this place!

Would recommend the upper floor rooms 9 or 10 for a lovely view over gardens and towards the sea. Keith is lovely chap along with his 3 friendly dogs, pool is great for a dip too

The rooms look out on to an unrivalled beauty of rainforest & the ocean beyond The only sounds are birds & tree frogs No traffic disturbs the peace you find here

Great location. Amazing host who runs his establishment from the heart - nothing is too much trouble.The apartment is excellently equipped and the view from the balcony is life affirming. Fantastic welcome touches such as starter pack of tea and coffee. Would recommend to anyone looking for a low key stay.

Friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Couldn't do enough for all the guests, which all in all made for a relaxing, wonderful stay . Really can't rate this place high enough. Lovely refreshing pool and very short walk to a beautiful beach. We both feel sad to leave which says it all!

Beautiful location, close to lovely beach, friendly owner, lovely pool and garden. The owner also very kindly dropped off my phone charger after I left it plugged in the room. Thanks so much!

No real sea view from the studio apartment unfortunately. But the owner did trim back the bushes a bit so you can see a bit of blue through them.

Comfortable 2 bed apartment with an amazing view. Short walk to a fantastic beach. Free WiFi worked well. Good value for money for the location. Keith was a great host and really cares that you have an enjoyable stay - he went out of his way to book us a catamaran trip at late notice.
