Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown Waterfront

From the moment I checked in, the hotel looked so nice. The people behind the front desk were so welcoming and upbeat (especially the one with the purple hair, I can’t remember her name, but ALL were great), just all around amazing. I travel a lot for business and stay in many hotels, first impressions do make a huge impact on a stay. Room was wonderful, spacious, clean, it was very comfortable. Great location, very walkable area, but not right smack downtown so it was quiet (good thing). The breakfast was definitely top notch for a free Residence Inn breakfast, they even had iced coffee!!! Even though it was crowded, I still got a seat, they didn’t run out of food, even stopped by again towards the end and there was still food so they clearly replenish and plan correctly! The bartender (forgot his name too but he also works for the AC hotel) was fantastic, he was also super friendly and upbeat, fun to talk to and he gave great suggestions on area spots. He informed me that I could schedule the shuttle (shared with AC Hotel) to take me to the airport the next day (which was today). I checked out this morning, the person behind the desk was truly amazing and helpful. The shuttle driver, Gabe, was next level amazing! Super helpful and great to talk to. This was definitely an incredible hotel experience, I will stay here again the next time I am in the area. Kudos to the management and the staff of this hotel.

The breakfast was great, the eggs were made to perfection every morning.

Nice front desk staff, clean room, amazing location right downtown, great breakfast.

The pool was closed for renovation our night and there was no offer to mitigate that (the pool was a big sale for us) On top of that we didn’t use their parking in any way, we weren’t talked to about it at all, but ended up being charged for parking. I called the hotel and they refunded me, thankfully. Be careful.
