Duy Tan Hotel

The hotel has good location, away the touristy area but not too far if you want come over for the bar. The price also very reasonable for what we get. The staffs are very kindness and helpfully, highly recommend.

Back street location but lots of friendly and local eateries and shops nearby. Great swimming pool and good views of Hue. Breakfast ok and staff are friendly. Classic government run hotel. Good value for money.

The staff is not friendly and supported. My friend left her phone at the table in the lobby and the staff answered they were too busy to check. The wifi is terribly weak. The noise from karaoke upstairs and the club nearby damaged my nights.

Rooms were comfortable enough, clean bathroom, balcony overlooking street. Staff very reserved, we were not told anything about the hotel while checking in so had no idea about the pool on the 3rd floor which would have been very welcome. Restaurant and bar not open on Friday evening and breakfast buffet not very appetising. Not too many smiles all round!

Got in shower on second morning and realised that soap had not been restocked. Luckily there was body wash. Be warned every time you leave the room and take your key the electricity to the fridge cuts out. Good point is that it is close to everything and has a pool.

First off I have to say that the staff were fantastic but I was glad to move on. This type of large hotel specialises in weddings and can be found throughout Vietnam. On the weekend and on many evenings during the week there are weddings on the ground floor that are accompanied by very very loud karaoke. This hotel seems to have two venues so sometimes the karaoke is from two sources at once. The noise was SO loud that my third floor window was vibrating. The floors and doors are not soundproof so you will hear outside noises, the mysterious furniture moving that occurs at night and the chatter of the cleaners early in the morning. The power to the room is turned off when you take your key with you so the fridge will warm up. The hotel is also a bit far the main tourist area but there are a few of OK restaurants nearby. There was a huge choice for breakfast.

Wish I had realised there was a pool before it was time to leave! We had checked into here late in the afternoon from the overnight train from Hanoi to Hue ( I do NOT recommend the train trip ) and a day's sightseeing in Hue so a comfortable bed was most welcome. Friendly staff- would stay again.

Feel okie when stay here, quite and peace full as the ancient city, but not much view for you to admire, no river, no bright just roof and roof over the horizon but if you down street everything will be more different.Hotel in center

We stayed one night at hotel, the room is good & clean and staffs are nice & helpful, but the air-conditioner is very weak, and the water from air-con is leakage into room then, we had to turn on at 17 degree for whole night. Overall, stay is pleasure and should try

Excellent value; a Hue local recommended and helped with making reservations for our 3 nites in Hue. Very large hotel, large tour groups frequent. Clean, air con and great beds, balcony. Businesses on street have very loud music that reverberates into the room. Ample breakfast buffet. I had a $2 manicure next door to hotel. I should have splurged and done a pedi too for another $2. We walked by Duy Tan 2, their other location - further from Perfume River by 2-3 blks.
