The property was convenient in SaPa The room was clean and well maintained for an old building. The staff were pleasant and helpful

Breakfast was extremely disappointing. The coffee was cold. I tried some toast but after putting the bread through the toaster 5 times I gave up. My husband persevered only to be told there was no butter to put onto it. If you want a cup of English tea in the morning take your own tea bags

Je vais lister les évènements marquants de notre séjour afin de vous faire éviter de faire la même erreur que la nôtre : séjourner dans cet hôtel. Nous avons réservé sur Booking, l'hôtel affichait 4*, nous avons appris par la suite que booking n'est pas responsable de ce classement, ce sont les établissements qui se notent eux-mêmes. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur maps c'est 3*. Nous arrivons dans une chambre vétuste et délabrée, comme le reste de l'hôtel, loin des standard d'un hôtel soi-disant 4*. Ma copine a voulu brancher son téléphone dans une prise murale, nous avons entendu un ZZZZT, cela lui a brûlé la main et le bras de l'intérieur, douleur pendant plusieurs minutes ET DE LA FUMÉE EST SORTIE DE LA PRISE! Autant vous dire que peut importe les étoiles factices, l'état d'insalubrité est autant valable pour la partie visible que pour la partie technique qui n'a, à première vue, jamais été entretenue (un des murs de la chambre à de la moisissure verte et enflée, plutôt très mauvais de respirer cela la nuit n'est ce pas ?). Il était tard nous étions fatigué du voyage, donc on se couche et d'un coup les lampes se mettent à clignoter vivement, puis tout s'éteint, comme le début d'un mauvais film d'horreur. On n'ose rien brancher par peur. La literie est comme le reste : bancale et ancienne. Le matelas est un radeau qui gîte au milieu des vagues, ça devient pénible. Apparté sur la salle de bain : baignoire avec contour en bois et moisissure noire. Hauteur entre le sol de la baignoire et le pommeau fixe au dessus 1m80. Donc oui votre tête touche l'arrivée d'eau si vous êtes debout. D'ailleurs l'eau coule par le robinet et par le haut en même temps, je vous l'ai dit c'est vétuste. À deux doigts de faire un combo gagnant eau+electricité. Le lendemain après notre randonnée j'appelle booking car j'ai passé la réservation via leur appli.

Toilet was like a jet engine when sitting on it, seat stained, could not plug in hair-dryer, cold tap broken, did not replenish tea and coffee in room enough. Breakfast, bacon, sausage and stir fry cold. Coffee awful. Our room details said, fireplace and sound proofed, we could hear people next door and chairs scraping in restaurant above. I dont know if give correct room?

The hotel has a nice view and a beautiful breakfast area. The hotel building is nice as well and well located.

The staff was not as friendly as other places we were. There was an issue with the shower since the back of the bathtub was not sealed enough so the bathroom flooded. There are umbrellas available in the room but we were not allowed to take them out with us 🤷🏽‍♂️. Breakfast was a bit limited.

Location (5 minutes walk from a host of cafes and restaurants, and the town square). Stunning views.

The view from the property was very nice.

The rooms are not sound proof. If you’re unlucky and have loud guests next door you will hear everything including them knocking really hard on the door of the room next to you at 5am, as well as every conversation they have on the terrace. Added to this, if you are given a room on the 6th floor under the dining area on the 7th floor, you will be woken up by loud chairs dragging across the floor at 6:30am.
