Chau Long Sapa 2 Hotel

The views from our balcony to the mountains and clouds were ever-changing and stunning! The view from the breakfast/dining room also is spectacular. The hotel has a cute cozy feel and reminiscent of Austrian/Swiss chalets - something out of a fairytale with lanterns everywhere. Clouds can roll into the hotel (as they do in Sapa) and create a magical experience. Our room was super spacious and the bed super comfy. The room was decorated with a beautiful indigenous wall hanging. We especially loved hanging out on our private balcony enjoying the views. Staff, like everywhere in Vietnam, were lovely. The breakfast buffet had everything you needed to set you up for the day. The hotel was centrally located, with so many restaurants/cafes on our doorstop. An easy walk to Sun Plaza to start your journey to Fansipan.

When we first arrived, we were given a room on the 6th floor, directly below the breakfast/dining room on the 7th floor. As some other reviews mentioned, you can hear the chairs scraping on the floor above you (like claws on a chalk board constantly:(. Until we experienced this non-stop from 6.20am and then around lunchtime, we requested to change rooms - which we did to the 4th floor and we were grateful not to have chair scraping noises waking us up. Unfortunately, management didn't seem bothered about fixing this for guests. So try not to get a room below the dining area! We ended up extending our stay for another 4 days as we were happy. The swimming pool is strange! It's like a cave room that drips water from the ceiling. But is an experience!

Location and view. Easy walking distance to the main part of town, nice alley on the front side, amazing view.

Bathroom fixtures were poorly installed and in a state of neglect and disrepair. Shower didn't work, only bath. Half the furniture in our room was missing, including the entire sitting area by the window. Instead we just had a big empty space. Definitely didn't match the pictures or description. Breakfast buffet was 5/10. Ok selection and an egg/omelet station, but even by 8:30 all the food including even the coffee was cold. Restaurant at night was much better. 8/10.

사파는 이번이 처음이였는데 사파 호텔들이 모두 그런지 모르겠지만 침구류가 엄청 눅눅함이 베여있음.. 하필 발코니쪽 코앞에서 건물 공사를해서 시끄럽기도 한데 방음이 전체적으로 잘안됨 와이파이 버퍼가 심하거나 끊김이 심해서 모바일데이터 쓰는게 훨씬 빠르고안정적임
